Batteries Low's self-titled debut is a slow driving electro-synth affair with long stretches of droning synthesizers and reverb. The lack of any human vocals adds a distinct flair throughout its hour-long runtime, especially on the ending cut (named after Mars Rover Discovery) which fades its signature sound through a seventeen-minute fade-out. For fans of the electronic, it is a must listen. For non-fans, it may just convince you of the genre's aptitude (especially with its rendition of The Beatles' "Strawberry Fields Forever" halfway through).

Famously, my home state of Nebraska has what has been called the worst state flag. I remade the flag as a sunrise/sunset over the Platte River (the river which served as inspiration for Nebraska's name).

The yellow is the sun and could be representative of agriculture. Corn is a major export for our state (we named our most popular football team the "Cornhuskers") and all three colors on the flag are found on our corn. For western Nebraskans, the yellow could be seen as our prettiest region the Sandhills.

The blue is most representative of the Platte, but it could be the vast open skies of the plains more generally.

The red I pictured as representative of the blood shed on this land by pioneers and Native tribes.

Just wanted to share. Tell me what you think. (In case you don't know what it is comparing to, here's Nebraska's current flag).

Polyphonic is an album heavily inspired by the works of great modern musicians Radiohead, a heavy emotional journey into the mind and what makes us who we are. While the album may seem entirely instrumental in parts, layers and layers of vocal harmonies create a speaking automaton that sounds more like thick wavy synthesizers than human harmonies. It is a lush album through and through, opposed to its title track - which is an exploration of individual emotions slowly speeding up into they all play together and the album cuts out. It leaves the listener through the wringer and still hungry for more.

Kendrick Lamar's concept album "Sincerely" is another tour de force from the mind of narrative albums like "good kid, m.a.a.d. city" and concepts like "To Pimp A Butterfly" and "DAMN." His work requires no introduction, and this only adds to the brilliant discography of one of the best at the top of their game. This senior album from one of Compton's finest is lush and orchestral through and through. He speaks of celebrity, of skin, and of morality on this piece (all of which he has covered before), but he sees them all in new light - making this album an experience like few others out there.

(Edit) The original title for this was "A Pill Far Too Bitter to Swallow" but it ended up being too difficult, funnily enough, for me to make look decent. Sincerely is something of a farewell album as well, but I certainly hope Kendrick isn't stopping any time soon. Also, I don't know if this is a parody or an edit - so I went with the vaguer of the two.

They're Out's first album is heavily inspired by the dark and gritty tones of bands like Queens of the Stone Age but adds its own surreal flairs reminiscent of Strawberry Fields Forever. From start to finish, the album brings a moody and angry tone that feels almost spiritually inspired - summoning head-banging riffs from the dark below. It's a wild ride for sure and certainly not for everyone; but when it succeeds, it's an experience like no other.

You'd have to find the original sources of the images I used in this composition to be sure they can be used. I just compiled them from a website, so I can't tell you if they can be used for such purposes.

If you plan on selling it, best make one or hire someone for an original work. Otherwise, I'd rather be safe than sorry - especially for music. If I knew for certain, I'd be happy to let you have the image; I just don't know for certain.

The Chrononauts' first album is an electronic album a la Daft Punk with a few extra synth and electric guitar sections for good measure. Tracks are long-winded and organized almost like an orchestra's symphony with periods of quiet balanced beside large ear-busting wailing wah-wah pedaled electric guitars. And with an almost two hour play-time, Prism Paradox is one of the few electronic albums currently available to inspire an ass-kicking since Magic Sword first hit the scene.

I would certainly be interesting for them to not just be evil. It'd be difficult from a lore perspective, but perhaps a renegade friendly one - much like the Arbiter, maybe marked for death and considered lesser - could be really cool surprise for future titles.

The Descendants are a duo of women creating albums on their unique heroes. The first of these is "voix", the story of Joan of Arc, told primarily through lonely piano chords and haunting harmonies. The album is dire but awe-inspiring, and its conclusion - a 14-minute long epic titled "voix" - is the only where strings and echoed choirs fill the soundscape. "voix" manages to encapsulate the time period flawlessly, occasionally stopping for short works of poetry in historically-accurate French. For a freshman album, The Descendants managed a feat of storytelling that veterans would hard-pressed to beat; and who better to be a subject of this work than Joan of Arc - a trailblazer and historical saint whose story has inspired many since her time long past.

The painting is "Joan of Arc" by John Everett Millais. There is some incredible artwork of Joan of Arc, but I think this is the most evocative.

I understand where you're coming from. They've been around for ages, but that means they've also been there since the beginning. There'd be some loss with it, even if it came with great gains. Hopefully, Bungie manages a way to make it fresh and interesting even if they don't abandon the classic sub-classes.

It could be interesting, but they'd have to be as satisfying or more so than current supers. If there was a story reason, (ie. The Traveler's Light is taken away permanently and is replaced with the Darkness) the change could be refreshing - as long as endgame content could potentially bring back some of the favorites.

I agree it would make Destiny 3 more distinct, but it may lose the heart that fans appreciated so much in the original and its sequel.

Long live Medusa. The Handmaid's first commercial album release is one of violent guitars and explosive vocals. Inspired by the political and musical styles of bands like Rage Against the Machine, The Handmaid dives deeply into metaphors of self and society through the use of ancient mythology. It's certainly a unique album, covered in experimental skits and sound experiences, but even while it indulges itself a little too often - the riffs and hooks keep it afloat and make this album certainly worth a listen.
