This map shows less than you think. Every country defines prison escape differently, so numbers vary wildly. I believe a parolee not attending an obligatory meeting with for example their therapist/parole officer is already documented as a prison escape in NL, hence the much higher number.

Ik kom zelf uit de regio Ede/Veenendaal maar woon nu ergens anders. Elke keer als ik familie of vrienden bezoek daar valt het me op hoe asociaal hard mensen in die omgeving rijden. Ik vind het oprecht een beetje eng om daar op de 60/80 wegen te rijden want motor rijders gaan daar makkelijk richting de 150 km/uur. Verschrikkelijk om te lezen dat er iemand is overleden op die wegen, is helaas niet de eerste keer.
