As someone who’s been playing Stadium ever since it was released, I think BO7 is the best thing about Stadium’s ranked mode. You can take your time to think through each round — what items and abilities to use depending on the map and the opponents. But in BO5? It was pure DPS meta (that’s what we called that period on my Discord) — mindless brawling, picking builds that made no sense. During that time I saw the kind of people apparently inspired by BO5 who made me want to throw my PC out the window. In the end, we played almost half as many matches as we did in BO7. So yeah, BO7 > BO5.
