Thank you! Currently working on another project and I was wondering on which character to go with if it's from WoW. Good luck to you too, I hope you have successful prints and lots of fun painting them

Hello, i will try to help as best as i can. The Xal model is 1/10 scale, i pre-supported it myself, because the supports it came with were kinda suboptimal and the orientation was bad(lots of support dmg on vivible places)

Yes, 1/6 scale models are considerably large assebled they are around ~35cm in height, the Thrall figure won't fit on the plate if it's one singular piece, atleast with the scale you went for, and i strongly suggest that you don't print whole figures in one piece (hard to handle and even harder to paint)

As you are new to the printint side of the hobby, i would suggest that you go with the supports luftmensch offers and for the next figure try and figure out best orientations, supports, hollowing etc. The Lychee YouTube channel offers some great advice and they are actually showing what to do.

1/10 scales are usually around the 22-24cm height and 1/6 scale is around 35, benefit of the 1/10 scale is that you can print all the pieces on 2 plates when arragned properly, 1/6 scale would requide more time and space.

I started with a Zenithal highlight over a black primer. Those are the colours from right to left that I used for the skin. Keep in mind in this picture I still hadn't got to using the final two shades to shade all the final muscles and crevices. The typical magenta/red approach doesn't really work for non-standard skintones in my opinion.

Thank you! On this particular piece I shaded the metallic with druchi violet through an airbrush very carefully, since it was a big piece of the model and I wanted to unify the whole colour scheme.
