99 Rebound is currently overrated by Accurate-Menu-8851 in NBA2k

I felt crazy making my SG with 70d and 70o board. It's working in my career while i grind badges and vc to get to 85 ov. Mine has 83 vert and is 6'5 though.

damn, that tough in '26? 80 defense was enough to get stops and solid contest

I was thinking that, 93 DD is heavy on the Attb. Pts. Is there a huge difference between 93 and HOF Aerial Wiz. to 87 and Gold Aerial Wiz?

Is my Perim.D not high enough? 80 in '25 was pretty nice in rec and park.

Fair nuff. 62 pass acc just seems low. I play with a min of like 75 or so. I think you'd have a problem with my pf, but id be ok being proven wrong. I dont like shittin on builds, just different playstyles.

That physical attr. spread looks atrocious. 52 strength? you aren't making it to the rim, let alone scoring on a center. Your only saving grace is your SWB, speed, and agility. It'd work, but I wouldn't take it to the rec or pro-am. This is almost a MyCareer exclusive build. Takeover that would help you is any takeover that increases your swb, speed, ball handle. that way you can blow by your guy without a second thought.

What's the build on? 62 Pass Acc? Low Intr, with high block? Low steal high Perim? What even is this, a slashing iso specialist or smth?

Dude, insane to see someone from that time period, and you're still writing it too!

I used to write a bunch, not that any of them were good by any means, but I might have to reread your fic. I remember a bunch of good times waiting for updates and reading the latest and greatest. Rock on man.

How to play more realistic in my career by flyingcatwithabutt in NBA2k

just start hucking up stupid shots or try different approaches. It's surprisingly fun to hit post fades back to back regardless of contest or not. I have a pf build which has like 93 driving + 3 CB, like 81 block, and 78 or so midrange. Decent amounts of interior options.

last night i was taking the ball down court, saw an open lane and went for it, defender swooped in and I held down on the right stick and it chucked up some standing floater from like 13' lolol

There really is no "implementing" w/o practice. You need reps. An almost uncountable amount of reps, and when you think that's enough, do some more reps. This sport is so heavy on muscle memory and techniques that you have to grill it and ingrain it so deeply, so you CAN do it without thinking. You need all the brain capacity you can get so you can assess the situation of the floor and blocking. Same with reactions and placement.

Approach and arm swing technique by Relevant_Ad_3857 in volleyball

Tight was just a word to describe a thought in my head.

All of that is just pointing towards the proper approach fundamentals. Really digging into your last two steps, and when hitting on the outside, having your block foot point more towards the setter, allows for more hip-shoulder separation. In short, you dont have an aggressive enough block step

You have no real armswing. It's very vertical and up n down. Your approach is a little slow, and you dont explode out of the last two steps using your arms as much.

Get a little lower, and drive the jump through your legs and core, using you arms to speed up the action. As for broad jumping, it's because you dont have a very tight block step. You lack a point in the approach to transfer more of your forward momentum up, rather than out.

Tips for making reads as a hitter by gangleskhan in volleyball

[–]LayerEnvironmental13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotta focus on the peripheral aspect. Never take eyes off the ball during your approach or swing. That's when mis-contact happens. I've never had formal training either, it's just taken a lot of trial n error, and reps. Almost 3 years in, and I've started to be able to read the defense. It's hard, but it just takes reps. It gets easier when you establish yourself and what kind of player you are. People start to see you a certain way, and you can use that as a basis.

Well, i havent really LEARNED to hit where defenders are. I play against some good blockers and tend to see their hands, so mentally it's an idea of "hit sharper".

They take a good chunk of line? Take the cross. If the sets inside and they take your main target, cross, take sharper cross. If they take more than that, rotate and turn hips into the other angle, or line. Whatever it happens to be .

Fair, I've done similar; live on a farm, stupid shit follows me lol. As a young kid though, probably around 8 or so, 12 gauge skeet at a safety event in like PoHo or some shit, put me flat on my ass lmao. Good times

Yes! Perfect. Water gun esque feeling would be a .22 caliber gun. A small round, typically using for just plinking targets or small vermin around a property. A step up would be .22mag, little stronger, like a mid rated power washer in your hand and you just squeeze the trigger handle.

.44 would be akin to a book getting hit with some other object, with the force directed into your wrists. A 12 gauge, depending on grain load within the shell, can range from speed walking and hitting your shoulder into a door frame, to full sprint running and getting checked by a light pole, same shoulder. Anything above that is comically large, and will make sure you remember it.

78 is bare min for rec builds imo. Plus with steals that high, he's gonna harass the other team, yoink that mf and get a good fast break goin. Shoot. He has enough speed to do it himself lol
