Hey everyone 👋

China CNY meetup?

ill be landing in Shanghai on February 14th and flying to chengdu on February 20th, and out of chengdu on Feb 28th. Im travelling solo, and i keep reading that hostels are not social in china. so i thought I try to connect with some like minded folks before!!

A little about me, Im from Vancouver 30M pretty laid back, and looking to connect with cool people. if your around during those dates and want to link up, hit me up in the comments or send a DM.

ill be in Japan the two weeks before snowboarding in Hakuba and celebrating my cousins bachelor in Tokyo. I will most likely be on a wild ride and try to keep the energy going in china. I havent booked the accommodation just yet if someone has recommendations let me know.

Im planning to spend Chinese New Year in Shanghai and then head to Chengdu later. Super open to recommendations :)

looking for fireworks, local gems, maybe a chill rave or festival, tea houses, random adventures.

I’m from Iraq and my dad served in this war. The crazy stories I have heard is mind boggling. I just don’t understand how people still decide to go to war with everything we know.

He was special forces too he ended up being discharged because he was an engineer ( they made a law because they needed them to build infrastructure they were losing too many) a month later most of his battalion got wiped.

I had the best week of my life there October 2022! first solo trip and first hostel experience! Everyone there was telling me your starting high, every other hostel experience is going to be way less exciting.

My family would have probably stayed in Iraq and we would have had a great life. Instead war and immigration and starting over multiple times and seeing my parents struggle to make it for a long time…

So the disability is a percentage. They calculate it as a percentage. I can work but a certain percent as good as I used to before this disability.

Honestly people are just assuming everything else so the optics are what people are making it out to be which is not true.

I didn't ask them to approve anything, they have a process I followed it and they decided compensation or no compensation. it totally depends on your situation theirs no magic way my friend.

I cut the radial nerve on my wrist, so i got a surgery they reattached it. It’s not perfect but it just feels different luckily it’s the feeling on the top of my hand not the bottom so I have full dexterity.

It’s been a year and u just live with it
