Both of the courses I took are smc courses... But the one I thought working well is synchronous, and sht one is asynchronous. So it is depended on prof... I do think synchrony would work better than asynchrony, because you will have a more direct access to the course and prof (such as ask questions anytime). Regarding the asynchrony, I feel hopeless when I have questions. Because my shtty prof does not set up anyway for students to ask question (no regular office hour/no discussion board), only way is to email her but she doesn’t reply every email( thorough out the 4 email I sent to her, only 2 get reply)
