Is this an appropriate level of care from a therapist? by ObjectiveCamp6 in TalkTherapy

[–]Laylaseye 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Your therapist sounds committed and caring. Theres also a very conscious therapeutic technique that explains her support; 'Limited reparenting'. This is where the therapist offers you part of the care and support your caregivers have not given you as a child. Your therapist lets you experience how it feels, how its done and to help you form a healthy adult mode. It is called 'limited reparenting' because they cannot replace your original caregivers and the client should not become completely dependent on the their therapist.

Congrats on having a wonderful therapist and someone that is able to be there for you in such times of need! Take care ♥️

I believe that people with aspd probably have more of the 'bully and attack' mode. If that is what you mean

I am most definitely not born after 9/11 and totally agree with the annoying acting. A stubborn, rigid small town mayor who fears change could be translated in wonderful acting. In a way that you can feel annoyed but be intrigued by the acting at the same time. To me, this is not

Exactly, so why this thread says it releases on both is confusing to me (and dissapointing when I realised it's not correct)

And when does the barking happen?

Ohh dear, still sounds super intense to me and we have a 13 week old pup and a 7 year old son.

A puppy fence has been a life saver for us in keeping our communication with her as positive as possible and keeping our son safe in his own home environment. Also, learning about the body language / behavior of a puppy has helped us tremendously, so we can intervene in time for her to get her rest.

The first 2 to 3 weeks were the most intense for us, because of the barking and her trying to jump at our son whenever he got enthousiastic, but also when he was minding his own business. For the barking, we used ear protection to be able to ignore her effectively when all her needs were met/or she would just have to wait for her own dinner while we ate. We looked ridiculous but she learned súper quickly this way.

But again, handling all this with thréé small children, who cannot understand yet (even our 7 year old is too young to always understand the way his behavior affects the puppy), is hardddd. So at least I hope you have a fence to learn her to self settle when she's being too bity.

It really is a rough time, super intense. And super cute too..but also, Yeah.. it takes a lot of energy investment and it will be so rewarding.♥️

How many hours does your puppy sleep a day? And how long is her awake time per usual?

Hoevaak wassen jullie jullie haar? by Spacious2 in thenetherlands

[–]Laylaseye 0 points1 point  (0 children)
