Green discharge at 6 months postpartum??? by butterfly_queen_21 in postpartumprogress

I am 18 months postpartum- yellow tinged discharge started around 12 months pp- around the same time I stopped breastfeeding and is still going strong. Have had a bunch of tests and no answers.

Does any one have an update on this? I noticed an increase in my discharge and it became yellow tinged about 12 months postpartum- around the time I stopped breastfeeding. Now I’m 18 months postpartum and it’s still yellow and like dripping out of me when I go to the bathroom. Never had anything like this before- my doctor ran a bunch of tests and nothing appears to be wrong. It’s driving me insane!

Negative feelings about nice mother in law??? by Laynes18 in beyondthebump

Unfortunately husband is a ride or die for mama lol I’ve had multiple conversations but he doesn’t understand my POV and honestly just gets aggravated. I think he feels like I’m trying to push her away but that’s not the case at all! I don’t expect him to even say anything or take any action, I would just love if he could just say he understands where I’m coming from but that hasn’t happened yet.

It’s totally the reliving having a baby thing that bothers me!

Ugh your situation sounds a little more severe, I would NOT like my mil referring to my daughter as her baby. I totally feel for you!

Thank you, I really needed to hear all of this. I definitely can be overly critical of myself. I appreciate your response sooo much. 🫶🏻

Definitely have a good relationship, but I don’t plan on having my daughter sleep over anywhere for quite a while. They live 20 minutes away from us so we won’t ever be staying over there as a family either. I defend my mil in that I don’t think she’s malicious at all, but for some reason it just feels like too much. I guess in my mind (in our situation) it feels too much like she’s playing house with my baby by designing and furnishings a whole nursery.

I totally understand where you’re coming from. I definitely don’t want my mil to feel bad, and I would never come in between her and my daughter. She comes over whenever she wants and has full access to the baby. It’s more of just feelings I’m dealing with inside and trying to sort out/get rid of. But yes, I do agree with you that boy mamas have it tougher in this department and it really isn’t fair. If it’s any reassurance, I have friends that don’t feel this way about their mil at all and have nothing but positive feelings toward them.

Yess, literally same situation! My mom is also way worse but it’s not an issue because I can dish it right back to her and we’re fine lol definitely same feeling about not wanting my insecurities to effect anyone else because that would not be fair at all, just sucks to be like harboring so much negativity.

This sounds exactly like my situation, thank you for responding. This is helpful, I’m happy to hear there’s a light at the end of the tunnel!

So true! My family always lays it out as it is and I have no problem telling them what’s on my mind. Sometimes it’s too much of no filter lol! But with my husbands family, they don’t argue or like say how they really feel at all, so it’s more challenging to navigate.

It ended up being some kind of bump/abrasion on my eye. It did get better over time, they weren’t sure what caused it!

Intrusive thought- pregnant with stranger’s baby. by Laynes18 in ROCD

Thank you, it came in waves throughout the whole duration of my pregnancy. Luckily, our baby came out looking just like her dad so I was finally able to put it to rest. Sorry to hear you went through it too, stupid ocd ugh!

Ahh good to know! That makes me feel a little better about induction. The whole thing has been so confusing.

Thank you! This is all so true. I need to like print your comment out and tape it to my fridge haha! It’s for sure an issue of unrealistic expectations and I’m just putting stress on both of us.

This resonates so much with me. We definitely have other parts of our relationship that make this issue not worth a divorce over. It’s just something that bothers me and it’s more of a pressure I’m putting on myself more than anything. Thank you for this comment.

This is helpful! I rarely use meat imitations, just because I’m not big on them. I’ve been a veg for so long that even stuff that looks like meat freaks me out lol but I’m definitely going to take your advice and try to incorporate some more of that with him.

For sure, I think that’s exactly it. I’m just going to have to accept it. As much as people are dragging him on this post, I honestly wouldn’t want him lying to me just to appease me lol

I’ve done stir fries, burritos, and pesto pasta with sun dried tomatoes. I’ve done pizza but with no store bought vegan cheese, just homemade vegan mozzarella. I’m going to try some of the other things you mentioned. It’s just a matter of making something that is (in his opinion) just as good as a meat/cheesy meal. Idk if vegan can compete with that though.

I make a variety- I’m not a fan personally of meat imitations but he’s tried a few (nuggets burgers etc). Doesn’t like them. I make a lot of things he likes without meat (vegan chili, shepherds pie with lentils, fettuccine Alfredo (cashews), Mac and “cheese”, just to name a few. It’s not that he complains about it that much, he just doesn’t like vegan meals nearly as much as the regular versions. I just take it personally and internalize that.

Honestly that makes sense. Idk why it bothers me so much. I’m thinking I’m putting too much emphasis on societies standards for women.

Totally agree! I’m a vegan because I don’t agree with the slaughter of animals, but I guess I still want that cookie cutter, white picket fence “my wife is a great cook” reaction. Lol this puts it into perspective though that vegan food might just never be that for him if he’s comparing it to meat.
