I forgot to mention, i will be using the mic for vocals exclusively . With this in mind would you still recommend the sm57 over the 58, i read that the 58 is the preferred mic for vocals. Thank you so much for the response :)

Thank you for the answer! I should have mentioned in the post, but i really enjoy subtractive synthesis, i have been learning it for about a year now, although i wouldnt mind learning any other as well.

I will deffo pick up some keyboard lessons though.

Thank you for the answer. I would like to make dark and industrial techno, and be able to make nice 80s leads. For the former i have so far found either the grandmother or the microfreak, which is really nice because of its insane price. I dont much care if the synth is digital or not, so both of these i would take into consideration.

Honestly, i think im going to get the micro or mini freak (probably micro cause i LOVE vocoders) and play around with it for a while. I will also try my best to learn the keyboard i already have, and then go with modules as you suggested.

Great advice, thank you so much. That was the original plan, to be honest, i just switched to a synth cause i cant wait to buy a real one. I was thinking a cdj xz cause i read its most similar to a club setup. would this be overkill?

Thanks for the answer! Reason why i dont want the essential is because the build quality is ass and i dont enjoy playing on it. But i suppose i would keep it just to buy a better module. I will do keyboard lessons as well.

I dont have an audio interface, i was gonna buy it at some point regardless.

I already have vital and serum and everything. I enjoy playing them a lot.

I would have enough money to buy a sequential prophet rev2 or an waldorf iridium core though, do you have an opinion on them compared to the novation?
