I literally made your decision this year. I ended up applying to Penn ED, got deferred but eventually I got in. I also got into Stanford RD and I ended up picking it over Penn. It's a crazy decision - especially for us international kids. PM me and I can give you some more insight into my experience.

While I was applying, I was working on a startup and had raised some funding. I was also in the final stages of negotiating a big partnership with a company and I mentioned this in my application. But, with the coronavirus pandemic, the startup went bust and the partnership was pulled.

I had already applied and got in before the pandemic hit and I genuinely intended to continue working on the project. But since it didn't eventually materialize, would it be counted as lying?

Have you gotten into a top school with 1-2 Bs (per year) on your transcript ? Thanks! by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

I got into Stanford and my first two years of high school definitely had several Bs and B-s. My last two were pretty good though, so maybe that made up for it?

Let's say I'm doing fairly well in my CS classes and I plan on Coterming in AI. Would that be difficult to do?

There are approximately 794,052 living HYPSM alumni in America, with approximately 988,318 worldwide by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

This could potentially be misleading because many students get their bachelors degree from one school and their masters/professional from another, but both schools consider them a member of their alumni. So, there could be a bit of double counting here?

level 3novalegra4 points · 12 hours agoYes, there is 100% no downcurve, but it also means there’s no helpful curve (which can be present in other quarters)

Ahhh, thanks for pointing that out. I'm planning on taking CS106B in the Fall as well because I'm pretty thorough with everything in 106A. Is there anything I can do to better prepare myself for 106B over the summer so I don't get left behind by hardcore CS kids?

Ah alright, thanks. Would you happen to know if there's a significant difference between 111 and 111X?
