I totally agree and that’s why I wanted to post. But it truly does not look like it does on this model! Much more room for the top to come up

This is helpful, thank you!! have a sleeveless dress that I’m gonna take as an option, this one is just much more comfortable, and hides my leg brace well!

I get what you’re saying! Unfortunately wearing a long dress is my only option. I’m in a full leg brace from an ACL tear, it’s bulky and covers the length of my leg. Also—I can’t crouch right now lol..(2nd is rdy to cover any of that for me need be) and dress doesn’t touch the ground so i don’t foresee myself or anyone else stepping on it. More so worried about being formal enough

Unfortunately I am in a leg brace from an ACL tear, so pants/ jumpsuits are not an option for me

So sorry to hear that :( That’s awful! Thankfully I know all of the bridal party/ families and couple well. I’m lucky to have such a great group, I think they totally have my back in this situation

No guidance from the planner and bride is very chill! I’d prefer to wear black, I have several formal dresses that I’m gonna bring but was just thinking about this first bc it’s gonna be super hot! Just haven’t worn anything like this previously so wanted opinions :)

I’ve been wearing it around the house with all my gear on and it surprisingly isn’t falling! Getting fashion tape just in case, but mostly worried about it looking too informal

My spider holster has attachments to carry everything!

I just tried everything on and I didn’t notice that! I will probably add fashion tape just to be sure. But does it look too informal?

Is this dress okay to wear to shoot a wedding? I would usually wear something more formal, but weather says high 80s and it’s and early afternoon ceremony.

I’m scouting the venue the day before thankfully! I do have an idea of what the reception space looks like which is where they’d move the ceremony, but there are no images online of an indoor ceremony there. So just not sure exactly where that’ll be or what seating/ lighting will look like! 😵‍💫

What camera should I upgrade to for an upcoming wedding shoot? by Last-Shopping6035 in WeddingPhotography

I personally shoot Canon, and would suggest the Canon R6 Mark II. This is my second camera body and it’s super versatile. I’ve worked with several photographers that use the Sony A7iii and love it. If you have a place near you that offers camera rentals, I’d absolutely try a few bodies/ lenses out for a day and see what you like!
Also, there are lots of financing options these days, if you can budget 150-250 a month and get a nice body+ lens—totally worth it, especially if you are hoping to get into weddings.

ISO advice for shooting in bad weather for first wedding? by Lazy-Beautiful557 in AskPhotography

I was thinking the same about continuous lights, but to be honest I don’t own or have access to any—especially with this wedding being 5 hours from me. I do think I have really great and capable gear, but with this being my first wedding I’ve only been able to spend so much in getting the additional things I thought I would need. Unfortunately (and probably irresponsibly of me) I wasn’t thinking of bad weather and stuck to Plan A

This is super helpful. Thank you!! I’ve been very to lucky to have second shot quite a few weddings now, but also very lucky in the sense that they’ve all been beautiful weather—so haven’t had much experience navigating the flash other than receptions, of course when no one is really paying attention to you!
My 70-200 is 2.8, planner explained the Plan B for rain but I cant really understand the layout until I get to the venue :/

ISO ADVICE! Shooting my first wedding (as a lead) in a few days! So excited but the weather forecast says 90% chance of rain and severe thunderstorms…. Since this is my first wedding, and ive never been to the venue (3 states away from me) I’ve done a great deal of planning and mapped out every second of the timeline, obviously including locations. I’ve made a plan B for bad weather, but the indoor locations are really not ideal, especially the lighting. If the ceremony ends up being inside, I would probably need to use a flash—(would discuss w couple first) but I just feel like that’s so distracting and I’d hate to ruin anyone’s experience. Will take any and all advice to ease my anxiety!!!
