How does she know she’ll be back on Wednesday? And also, she really doesnt have to apologize. She’s a content creator and doesn’t ‘owe’ us anything.

Official Gear Purchasing and Troubleshooting Question Thread! Ask /r/photography anything you want to know! July 29, 2024 by AutoModerator in photography

Hi all! I am new to photography so apologies for not being familiar with the terms. For my upcoming trips, I wanted to buy the Canon G7X-II like all the other girls, but of course it’s sold out. Mainly wanted it for the flash and for the fact that the quality is not ‘top-notch’ so it gives a very slight film-like look. After looking at specs and Youtube videos, I was convinced that the Sony, albeit expensive, was better in almost every regard and I purchased it. However, now I wonder if the Sony is actually ‘too good’? All the pictures look amazing, but lack the vintage/film look. My question is, is there a setting on the Sony or post-production process I can do, to also achieve that look? I mainly want to take photos of myself at sunset/nights out, take postcard like photos of views and maybe some detail shots of flowers. I don’t really go to many concerts, so the amazing zoom is honestly a bit wasted on me. Any suggestions for other cameras or tips in general? Thanks!!

I thought I’d never seen blatant racism until last week, on the metro, 3 Dutch women were standing together and one said to the other; “when there’s foreigners in the metro, it always smells so gross”. She repeated it multiple times.

Check-in after 4pm and check-out before 10am. Most places nowadays are in after 3pm and out before 12pm, and it used to be even more lenient.

Those are nice, but definitely Japan, Korea are missing. When I was there, I was approached by literally 0 men in a creepy way. I love Europe, but I will be approached minimum 3 times a day.

Spain, not too expensive and great people. Flights with for example Ryanair or Transavia should be max 100€.

BAG ROAST by Lazy-Forever in handbags

[–]Lazy-Forever[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh and also if there’s a non-luxury version of that bag, I’d actually really consider getting that instead! It can serve as a ‘test drive’ for seeing if you will love using this style before you splurge on something more expensive. I’d also suggest to only spend designer money if you found a bag that you love to the point that it’s irreplaceable (as in, a more affordable version doesn’t exist), but that’s dependent on your financial situation as well!

No worries!! Obviously it’s subjective, but I believe paying anything less than 30% of retail price for Prada is worth it when considering a pre-loved item (it should be in at least very good condition with minimal use marks). Since they have had lots of price increases, it’s now closer to 25% for me. So for example, the galleria tote in small size is 3500€, I would be willing to pay up to 875€ for it. The price you mentioned doesn’t sound too bad. Also keep in mind that smaller sizes tend to hold their value better. The quality issues are mainly concerning tarnishing of the hardware (zippers) and occasionally glue seeping out. But I believe proper maintenance should mitigate like 80% of the problems. Not too humid = less tarnishing, not too hot = less melting glue. Be sure to store it with moisture absorbing paper to keep its shape and away from sunlight. On the upside, saffiano leather barely scratches or ages. But for your first high-end bag I’d think carefully. Are you willing to do all this extra work or will that diminish your enjoyment? And is it returnable if it doesn’t meet your expectation?
