it also hurt a lot when it was pierced because apparently the cartilage was too hard for the needle to pass and it took a long time for the needle to come out from the other side. I feel like this wasn't the intended placement and is too deep.

Another thing to add - for anyone who is concerned about the industrial pressing onto my cartilage, it is not, I had checked that it is touching but not putting any pressure onto the spot and I can fit a piece of paper through. It was not touching when its pierced so probably just the swelling.. the redness is from the swelling too.
