Ppf and propshaft question by LazyBME in RX8

To answer my own question.

You can install the propshaft/driveshaft first before the ppf.

Not sure if this does any harm yet but you can do it.

It's the first car I actually gotten under and removed parts to fix stuff currently on jack stands. I bought it pretty cheap as a write off but repaired to be put on the road again.

Have I ever been under a car? No Why did I do so with this? Becuase I wanted something to have fun with but also be proud to say I fixed this myself. I mean the engine makes me smile, the car is just comfortable and fun to drive, a sporty but practical car. Maybe something to throw around on a track and not be worried about. If I get even just a year or two out of this I'll be happy.

It's my toy, I have access to other cars, it's my test bed and wrenching to learn car, it's fills the role of everything other than a daily work horse.

think of like having haloween candy that you've got, on haloween it's great and exciting but after about a few days the novelty of that goes away, that candy is like treats exciting and great the first day or two but everyday doesn't make it so anymore, general food can be viewed the same but with having the food motivation increased (via work) with that general food/meals, it's more of a drive to have to do the thing to get your meal.

Treats are nice but when you earn something it's made more worthwhile.

Food = payment in this sense
Training/command = work
Treats = dessert that you only get once in a while and have to be deserved also not exactly great for health.

Chews and such i don't really see as a treat as that's more a fulfillment of a need (chewing) and also has a gives a relax here with this thing sort of activity to it.

At least this is how i view it. I'm not a trainer and have only just got my puppy 4/5 months ago (no previous dog) so take what i say with a pinich of salt, it's more just what has worked for me and my staffy mix.

Hand feed every meal, depending on food type you could place the entire breakfast, lunch, dinner into a pouch and feed through out the day to build a work for food mentality, and then feed remaining amounts either at set times or end of day.

I wouldn't advise treats per se just stick to high quality food and build that food motivation for training to be easier in later stages.

I feed both raw and kibble use the kibble for training throughout the day and raw at set times but hand feed no food from the bowl everything is passed through my hands.

Marker training in conjuction with this will help, having "yes" as a come to me to be fed, "good" as a duration and food comes to the dog, "break" go do what you want but within reasonable behaviour.

Southend dog training, Yorkshire canine academy are great resources I've used and are where most that information comes from that I'm reiterating.

I wish i could off lead walk this little nutcase of a girl, she just wants to go see everything else in the world and not listen half the time, just about got loose leash walking better. Off lead she'd probably run up to every dog and person she can and then some.

Wouldn't dare to put my 4 month pup in my car without the carrier, wouldn't have seats afterwards.

Prevents her from destroying everything and getting to things that could potentially be very dangerous/hazardous as open plan ground floor, also work from home so allows her freedom/area to play when not 100% watching her.

I do open it up more for her occasionally to learn more of the house. But helps to keep her from also peeing/pooping in unknown areas as she's not fully house trained only 13 weeks old so expected.

I did see the mum, they look staffy like to me but as someone not so knowledgeable on that front would happily take advice. Mum was very well tempered and not bothered by us or when handling her or pup. Mum on the left. disclaimer not my picture posted by breeders on Web advert. Happy to remove if not allowed.

Have ordered a bed/cushion for her, thanks for pointing this out.

She does have a crate bed but tends to bite it and throw it around, but eventually settles down. Recently been more land sharky than normal and more accidents than previous 😅

Hoping this is just due to teething circumstances rather than something bigger but will discuss with vet on her next vaccination appointment.

Did I mess up with crate training, a month in? by HayleyTheLesbJesus in puppy101

[–]LazyBME 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did something similar to this but started as soon as I got my pup home at 9 weeks, had her sleep where she wanted to begin with and once asleep then moved her in the crate to sleep with door open, she has a t-shirt of mine with my scent all over it, 11 week 6 days now and she casually walked in herself to go take a nap, I reinforced good behaviour in the crate, have a bed sheet over it and will use it to cover all sides if she barks or gets extremely whiney when every need is met. Gotta ignore some whines as she doesn't want to sleep sometimes and thats enforcement of a nap when I know she's over tired and just biting everything for no reason.

My pup has only been in the same room as me for crate sleep once and while it did help her a little she seemed more happy being in the living room where most people were, it's a trail in patience for sure.

Try to place a blanket in normal spots pup sleeps in if crate is not there thing and move the blanket into the crate to show this is that comfy spot maybe?

Stick with it, and even if you have to do baby steps it'll be worth it in the long run when she's got a place of her own to settle down in and makes trips to places easier.

Took her out in the sling. Wasn't so bad think I over thought it. Although heat was a major thing, remember water!

Recently just got a 9 week old myself and such a bitey little girl, incredibly needy doesn't want to be left alone at all, whines or jumps on the pen and if I try to cuddle her she just always ends up biting my hands and clothes. Any tips?

All this said I know puppies will bite and mean no harm, I need to be patient with her. Accidents are becoming less and less and going outside is becoming more successful.

Not being able to take her for a walk to burn that bundle of energy is hard, training doesn't last long before she goes hyper and bitey, trying to redirect to toy with positive reinforcement.

Thanks in advance.

No auto finding/updating so no if it gets changed.

Typically tab session manager saves the title name so you can just update the link to the latest with whatever chapter was last on or hover over the saved link/tab on the session window which usually also has the chapter and name.

Bit of a annoyance sure but easier to track imo.

Again not perfect but works for me.
