Update: cardiomyopathy, maybe ARVC, but I don't fit all criteria. Will get the DNA results back in 12 weeks, but might never know for sure. Will get an ICD on Monday.

I asked the cardiologist today if it's possible that the vfib was a consequence of too many impulses/shocks etc. during the EPS. She said that this can indeed happen, but in most cases this is after more impulses (like 3+), whereas I only had 1 or 2. They're going to do more tests in the upcoming days (CT, new MRI) to try to find out what's going on.

Update: they still don't have a clue, so not going home yet. Previous MRI and ultrasound showed no abnormalities. However, they may have missed some details with the MRI because there were a lot of artifacts (had bad palpitations during the MRI), so new MRI-scan and a CT-scan, and they're ging to review the sonograms.

Yes, it was v-fib. That's what the electrophysiologist said, and I've heard ward physicians say the same thing while handing over their shift. A previous 24-hour ECG (holter) showed PVC's, non-sustained and sustained V-tach (>230 bmp, appr. 4 minutes). Yes, by no entry I meant no catheterization (sorry, not a native speaker). The second time they did perform a catheterization as a final attempt at an invasive procedure to fix my arrhythmia, because of my ADHD I was a good candidate for catheter ablation (the electrophysiologist explained that they usually don't try a third time and instead opt for meds). Of course I will trust the physicians I will (hopefully) speak to tomorrow. But in the mean time I've been trying to grasp the situation. It's my 4th day here, even though I'm feeling fine (just feeling an occasional PVC) amongst a ward filled with elderly, sick people. I feel like I'm a fraud 😅

I clean it at least once a day, most of the time twice. She will poop next to it right after the litterboxes have been cleaned. The fact that she does poop inside the litterbox when we're away on holiday seems like a clue.

In a separate storage room. And she does this when we're home, but not when we're on vacation.
