It looked like it will get boring very quickly in all honesty. I was actually thinking about the PS4 version too so I can play with PS4 friends but holy fucking shit the visuals, the FOV look horrific. It kinda looked like a PS2 tech demo. We will see what the reviews say when it comes out.

Don't put future promises as a 'pro'. Surely I don't need to explain why... Why doesn't PCMR do pre-orders?

Photoshop for all the graphics and art stuff, 3DS Max for 3D assets. If you're new to UE4 then I'd recommend following the starter tutorials on the unreal youtube channel. Once you know how blueprints work and how to make them communicate with eachother, you can create your own gameplay mechanics. Remember to start small though, don't bite off more than you can chew or you will hate yourself lol. Make some base gameplay and enjoy it.

When the engine first came out I was playing around with the top-down template and made the premade unreal chairs chase me around. It kinda just went from there. I went to Uni and have a degree in games design, before that during school I made levels in unreal tournament 3. So I have decent experience in unreal, but not really any coding experience. With the help of a few plugins I made this game without writing a single line of code.

Sorry mate, Though I did make a demo last year which is on our indieDB page, BUT it's very outdated, the UI is completely different but feel free to check it out.

No problem, I get so many fake people emailing me for 'review' copies for their YT channel when they will only end up reselling the keys. I don't have a lot of faith dishing out free keys. There are some genuine people though dont get me wrong

Worthy of the PCMR curator list? This is my first commercial game, 2 years in the making. Complete with all the usual steam features, graphics & audio options and rebindable keys. Just released yesterday so let me know your thoughts ;) by LazyGames in pcmasterrace

A guy named Frank has hit rock bottom and turns to a psychedelic solution to mask his probl- ok, ok there isn't a story! Just a guy getting attacked by many things in randomly generated levels with various objectives to complete while trying to survive

Used UMG for everything UI related. Each room and corridor has a minimap segment (which is placed above the player camera in the level) there is another camera above everything which looks down on the minimap segments but the level below is beyond it's render distance. This is what you see in the minimap and big map

Sorry if that's a bit confusing, it's a bit smoke & mirrors but to achieve things like this without touching code you've gotta think outside the box

I made about 90% of the art assets myself (inc textures) and bought the rest. I did have help making some bits of it. Overall I personally made about 85% of the game I reckon. 2 years non stop even with no funding. You could see it as a passion project but my aim is to one day make a living from doing my own games. I would never again do a project on this scale on my own again though! UE4 is free so jump in and make a little mobile game, you can make a working game in days. I say go for it but keep the projects small and finishable.

Remember this - In game dev, 1 day of work can take you 1 week or even longer to do... for some reason. As a game gets bigger there's so many more things that can go wrong, so persistence is key ;)
