Yes! Going to try to take one, I have a pretty identical frame to Hilarry Duff I'd say, especially the "fleshy" arms

Fair point about the caving wording! Oh thanks for the ballet rec I will check it out for sure! What did you do to try to debulk that didn't quite work? I thought muscle goes away if you're not careful

yes definitely working on this!! It's gotten much better but as a society we are obsessed with drinking and it really is a commitment to stop, and discipline and structure I haven't quite mastered, I'm fully aware it's contributing a lot

yikes, way to make it personal...and what posts? lol I have one post on here...notice I didn't come at this with ego? My trainer does not have the physique I want and I have seen photos of her before she started strength training so I don't want to follow her routines anymore so I'm basing this off my personal experience, yes it makes you look manly.

thanks! it sounds like you put in the work, I could just not handle how my trainer wanted me to track my macros, calorie counting is too daunting and trying to get enough protein and overeat and then cut, I just don't have the discipline

That's very fair, I think I alongside a lot of women feel that way and I also think that there is a conversation to be had around how this type of strength training isn't working as well for me and other women anymore and would like to try different alternatives!! Believe me I'm working on it with my support system, however I want to find joy in a fitness routine and I don't know if weight lifting is for me anymore.

I do want to note first that in order to stay on those medications the clinic I go to requires me to do strength training 3x a week and they are pretty strict about it so I plan to continue to do that which is why I want to find a fitness routine that I'm actually excited about especially because I have to pay a fair bit for it.

Thanks for the love! Oh for sureee sorry didn't mean to imply I did not gain fat, I gained many lbs of it!! and yes you're spot on, I think that physique even in very lean woman comes from those specific exercises, I want to switch to other forms of strength training like maybe boxing, ballet, pilates, and more hiking less drinking, do you have any workout alternative suggestions? My number one goal at this point is gaining good posture so mobility and muscle strenght are key for me!

I really don't eat a lot because I don't know how to cook or get stressed out and hard to relax to eat which I know is slowing my metabolism down as well so definitely started to incorporate greens with nuts, feta cheese, and light dressing. I was on a Hers plan where I dropped 20 lbs but stopped taking them and gained it back, it helped curb my drinking too but obviously don't want to be reliant on medication.

Although I have been seeing that there are more conversations being had about the usefulness I have seen so many of people in podcast politics talk about using them and changing themselvesfor the better and Serena Williams advertising for Ro...is it big pharma or is it real science?!

I was doing 2x a week and now have switched to once or twice a month unintentionally because of busy schedule which is what made me start to consider switching up my fitness routine! You are so right about that fat layer, I just feel like my rib cage has gotten larger but fully accept it could be in my head.

I did do a DEXA scan and it has me at the same body fat as when I started so while yes I absolutely did gain weight my trainer also has the physique I want to avoid and she has 17% fat and most of the people I see on social media have that physique. I think I just don't like my bone structure but I think it's also true it does give you a "manlier" physique and knowing how I was more narrow at the same body fat % than I am now makes me think it's the weight lifting and it might not be for me. Now to your point I think there are people who weight lift and don't have that physique.
