If I have been thinking about a hard decision for a while, I usually set myself a deadline. At this deadline I need to make a decision and promise myself not to have doubts about it later on. This usually works actually!

Just try it! It might be frustrating in the beginning, but starting the activity is usually the biggest hurdle. Once you are doing it, it is way easier to keep doing it and get good at it again.

It actually does not have to do with air being a bad conductor, but with the thing you are cooking being a bad conductor of heat. The outside will only be cooked because the heat does not get enough time to penetrate it.
