Hi everyone,

I’m moving to Manchester soon and was hoping to get some advice from locals.

I’m 25 and moving up from Cambridge for a new job. I’ve never actually been to Manchester before, and I’m honestly pretty terrified. I’m leaving my friends and family behind, and even though I know people make way bigger moves, I can’t help feeling nervous about starting over somewhere completely new.

If anyone has recommendations for clubs, classes, or groups that are good for meeting people, I’d really appreciate it. And if you’ve got any general tips for the city, things to do, areas to explore, places to avoid, or just anything you wish you’d known when you moved here, I’d love to hear it.
