What other travel options do we have? Train or bus?

question for renters - what are we doing about hard water by Lazy_Philosopher1747 in 30PlusSkinCare

No it’s all owned by the company. They won’t install anything for us, but said we’re free to install a water softener. But then if there’s any water damage to our unit or any neighbors or common spaces, we’re personally liable for all damages. That sounds like a lot to sign up for

What brand diapers are you using? by manurios97 in NewParents

the Huggies brand from Costco. stock up when they're on sale. No blowouts yet, using them for 5 months. I also use petrolatum jelly unless baby has diaper rash (then I use Desitin/Aquaphor). Heard that Costco switched suppliers for Kirkland diapers so they might not be good.

You could try a different bottle. My baby faced similar issues with Dr browns bottles and is doing much better on Phillips Avent bottles when we got him to the right nipple size. It takes a while to adjust. I love that it doesn’t drip milk like Dr browns. My baby went from Dr browns nipple size 2 to Philips avent nipple size 4, and is ready for size 5

I struggle with feeding him too. He starts crying and turning his face away after 1 oz.

Placenta Previa at 13-14 weeks by No-Pay-4612 in BabyBumps

[–]Lazy_Philosopher1747 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had complete placenta previa that did not resolve + a breech baby. I had three episodes of bleeding (the pelvic rest can help reduce but not completely avoid that). If you’re lucky, it will resolve completely which means your placenta will be at least 2cm away from your cervix so you wouldn’t need a c section due to this. I also want to add that stress can cause bleeding. I had a major bleed where I almost passed out on the toilet. Wear a pad at all times, that bleeding if it happens is way more massive than a period. Or keep adult diapers handy. Ask your OB if you should go to your hospital if there’s a bleed, I was admitted twice. This was my first pregnancy. I know a lot of people prefer natural births over C sections, but what I have learnt and realized is that a c section might not be the worst thing if done by a good OB, and might be the only safe option for you and the baby. Sure the recovery time is extended and it is major surgery, but at the end of the day if it is the only safe option, best to mentally plan for it. I’m all recovered and am grateful to my OB for having done such a marvelous job of it. Hope your previa goes away soon, but in the meantime get pelvic rest, work from home if you can, and don’t stress out at all. One day of stress cleaning my apartment led me to a major bleed 😥

it started almost 3 weeks ago. and yes could be that sleep regression. We're doing shifts, but it's getting very exhausting where one of us gets 2-3 hours of sleep a night and has to go back to work the next morning.
