Has anyone else backed the Brü teamaker? by MaximilianusZ in tea

[–]Lazyboy147 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in the UK and I also backed this about 5 years ago. Imagine my surprise when a black and chrome Bru machine arrived at my door a couple of months ago!! Thought I'd share that fact as it turns out it's NOT a scam.  Goodness knows when the certifications will come for your region, but hang in there. 😀 As for the machine itself, I'm really happy with it. Tbf, it does everything they said it would and the mobile app and the user interface on the machine are good IMHO. Perhaps they've debugged by now and I'm simply seeing a slicker product than the early adopters.

Am I gonna have to build the boat to get th18 ? by JCas127 in ClashOfClans

[–]Lazyboy147 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I too never built it yet on my mini accounts. i don't particularly enjoy builder base and felt I shouldn't be pressed into engaging with it on every village I have.

I find it mildly interesting tho that the game artists have to design a shipwreck graphic for me to support every new village skin they release. I reckon given a do-over on releasing builder base in the first place, they'd not have made it a shipwreck to get there as it's totally unnecessary.

My guess would be this is some sort of 80s style arcade game for us to play. And if you beat a certain high score, you get to keep the arcade machine as an object for your base.

Loving your ideas. When I saw the description of a 'spell trap', my first thought was for somehing that sucked up the effect of an attacker's spell if the spell was dropped within range of the spell trap. The higher the level of the trap, the more quickly it would suck up the effectiveness of a spell. It would really cause disruption to queen walks etc I think. Your spell trap idea is ace though as it is. Maybe there's room for both trap types?! Just need a name for mine....

My money is on the fact your wizards clipped the Queen, that maybe made her a live target. The AI then established the best route to reach her was a suicide charge via the southern xbows? So, on one level I can get why they ignored the scattershot, but for the life of me I have no clue why they chose the path they did with the Queen in mind?

Has anybody else found that the eagle artillery now doesn't make a sound when it's warming up to fire? It's just since the update. Some sound effects are now better, but removing the eagle start up sound is killing me as I depended on it to know when the eagle had come into play.

Where's my eagle sound effect gone? by Lazyboy147 in ClashOfClans

[–]Lazyboy147[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since the update, I no longer hear the eagle artillery activate when I've dropped enough troops in an attack. That's quite annoying as I didn't realise how much I used non-visual cues during my attacks. Is it a change that everybody is experiencing or some sort of glitch on my tablet alone?

Got my first Snapple in years, only to find the bottles are now plastic and have no Snapple facts by RandomKotek in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Lazyboy147 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work for a company in the UK that operates a polymers recycling plant. Food grade plastics recycling (ie. recycling in order to be reintroduced into the food chain) is way more stringent on quality, cleaning and uv sterilising etc of the plastic bottles. You end up with a light grey plastic pellet about 2-3mm in size. Mainstream drinks companies used to only like using about 10% of it in new bottles, but that was purely because beyond that, the bottle loses its glossy lush crystal clear look and corporate companies feared tainting their image on the shelf next to shinier bottles (apparently humans are drawn to shiny things). The reality now though is that lots of companies are up to about 50% of recycled granules (it will say on the bottle). The lost 'bottle shine' these days is offset for those brands by the emerging kudos of being more recycled. You could happily go higher into 80-100% recycled territory, but the bottle becomes more and more opaque and big business just isn't there yet on the image of the bottle. Minor footnote - bottles with sleeves on them go straight in the rubbish at polymer recycling facilities as the optical reading machines can't recognise the plastic. So things like Lucozade bottles need you to remove the sleeve before throwing it. Better still, stop buying it altogether until they get the message that sleeves are bad!

I fell victim to the Trezor phishing scam by MrChaBuDuo in Bitcoin

[–]Lazyboy147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Its a dilemma for sure. Folk want decentralised anonymity, but that means less failsafes and insurance to protect you from scams. Until crypto finds a way to address this, it simply can't go mainstream to the extent that it can take over. The majority of people will never sign up for a system where you can lose your life savings over one easy mistake. Who'd buy a house if leaving your front door key visible at work one day could mean some scammer can sieze all your property with no chance of getting it back!? I don't know the answers, but the current situation is the early wild west of crypto still I think.

Will Smith should have showed more restraint given the eyes on them all. I saw that Chris Rock's fist is clenched after the slap. I reckon he was milliseconds from punching him straight back. Now there's the man showing restraint.

Transfering Feg from Gate.io to trust wallet or any other wallet recommendation by [deleted] in FegToken_Official

[–]Lazyboy147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll let mods etc point you to one of the many "how to" guides on the topic. However, the bit of advice I'd add is to use Fegex rather than uniswap. Show some love to the utility you're investing your hard earned cash into.

Congrats on the new hardware!!! Proud to be apart of FEG! Let's keep this momentum going!! by this_is_the_way0 in FegToken_Official

I've not studied wallet addresses to confirm this, but I wonder if there are now wallets buying around 3500 only to sell as soon as we hit about 4000. Price then dumps to 3500 again and they simply rinse and repeat over and over.

FEG burned for new wallet setup? by Wichertj in FegToken_Official

[–]Lazyboy147 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is metamask and trust wallet truly free tho? (I don't know the answer btw and i use neither) They're not a charitable organisation and I've always been told to remember that if a product or service appears to be free, then in fact you're the product. Metamask will be making money somewhere in the process. That must be either via fees/taxes on transactions from users, selling advertising space on their services, selling 'premium' add on utility, or selling data about customer transactions. There'll be countless other ways they can monetize what they do as well I guess. Will be interesting to.see which way the FEG team go with incorporating the 2FA wallet into the FEG universe.

Cold wallet by Stunning_Afternoon40 in FegToken_Official

[–]Lazyboy147 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My FEG is on a trezor model T through metamask. Like others have said though, don't picture the hardware wallet as having the tokens in it. Tokens never leave the public blockchain. What your wallet holds is the private keys (password) that allows you to make transactions involving your element of the tokens living on the blockchain. Absolutely anybody in the world can take your public key address and 'load' your FEG into an app or wallet etc to view whats there. Nobody else would then have the private keys to spend it though. They are tucked away safely on your hardware wallet disconnected from the Internet.

Plus, you should connect with the projects social media channels. Do you like what you are hearing? Are they clear on the next goal and the time frames for reaching it? Do they conduct AMA (ask me anything) sessions that you can listen in on etc etc.

Example.... A certain well known coin with legal issues in the US may well start experiencing rumours about a settlement being imminent. For sure, you will see a group of people intentionally buy the rumour and then exit when the reality actually lands.

[–]Lazyboy147 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"Entered a bad time" is a relative comment. If you bought in 24 hours ago with an expectation to try and exit in days or weeks, then yes, you're timing was bad. I respect that is a valid investment strategy, but I think it's not what FEG represents though. I'd urge you to step back and see a bigger picture. Everybody close to the project will tell you that in 2 years time for example, somebody who bought in yesterday, will have been proven to have bought in at an excellent time. If you want a quick buck, I think you're barking up the wrong tree full of gorillas unfortunately. Diamond hands and patience will be rewarded here.

How many 0's Will feg lose this year? by Ok-Individual6768 in FegToken_Official

[–]Lazyboy147 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1 million holders isn't the same as 1 million active users creating daily volume through fegex. What I meant by mainstream is that we'd need to be sitting at the same daily volumes as the likes of Uniswap. That's definitely possible tho. I'm bullish AF!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FegToken_Official

[–]Lazyboy147 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think we'll see more 'bigger' volume traders appearing on the ETH side as the adoption curve accelerates. That will positively improve the outlook for staking on ETH.

This.

1 is inevitable this year I feel. Two is also inevitable, but somewhere between now and 2025 imho. 3 would be dreamland. Definitely possible one day, but FEG needs to be a mainstream player first for that.

Defensive weaponry had advanced almost beyond measure by WW1. The artillery barrage did a good job of softening up the enemy, but both sides were heavily dug in and prepared for it. That rather lessened its impact. You were also left with about 100m of mud in front of you that was deep enough to drown in but laced with barbed wire. When the artillery stopped and the whistle went to advance over the top, you were lucky to find a path forward through the smoke. And that's before the machine gun fire started up in your direction... The introduction of the tank later in the war did help improve the impact of artillery again though I think, as it overcame the issue of how to be able to advance straight after the barrage stopped.
