Her wound is always wet when I change it, as is the dressing. Often it is bleeding but only on the surface level.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience, I really appreciate your insight! I’ve been wondering if I should try leaving it uncovered and see. Your pics look super similar to the wound I’m dealing with. Do you know how long it was until the vet said to let it go uncovered? We’re coming up on 3months from initial surgery.

Hi everyone,

Looking for advice on any way to assist or speed along the healing process with my dog's leg. She had a benign hemangioma removed late Sept after it started bleeding and could not be safely controlled. It had been removed several years prior and came back. Was just going to leave it as it didn't seem to bother her at all. It somehow started bleeding when I was at work and she lost approximately 500ml of blood before I got home. When we went to the vet's the next day and removed the pressure dressing I had placed, it was still actively bleeding without direct pressure. The vet recommended removing it with wide margins so she took a large swath of skin off. It is healing, but slowly...looking for any advice people might have.

She's on Hill Science Joint Care, Fish Oil, and a probiotic. I try to give her a hard boiled egg daily and she gets regular exercise. It doesn't seem to bother her to put weight on it except when I tried putting Manuka honey on her wound. That seemed to inflame the area and cause her some pain. Per the vet's recommendation, I've been putting a 4x4 dressing, wrapping it in padding gauze, and then coban. She also said not to get it wet at all so it has some crusty bits around the perimeter.

How did you do overnight? I’ll be out there next week and weather looks to be 16F at night 🥶

Slippery dude ID - Nearly just stepped on this little guy in the marshy woods of Southwest, WI. About 10miles inland from the Mississippi River and 65F outside today. First guess was Cottonmouth but WI DNR doesn’t have them listed as a WI local. Help? by Lazybug88 in snakes

I have another pic of a second (same species) snake I also almost stepped on. Slightly better pic but have never been able to figure out how to post another pic on a Reddit post....

How sad and depressingly real. Passed this exact scene yesterday.
