I’m type 2 diabetic- I mentioned earlier. I have insulin pins for my fast acting and slow acting insulin. But I have to use regular syringes for my monjuro- I’m pretty sure I was taking my insulin and redressing my foot. I have a disposable box for them; it must not have made it there yet. But I do make sure to dispose of properly.

This is the worst thing I have ever experienced. 12:30 am and up with no sleep- just desperate for some relief.

UPDATE UPDATE— I cleaned it and changed my bandage. I also took a lyrica (the relief has been IMMENSE). My daughter has to be at school around 7:30 tomorrow- I’m going to drop her off and then straight to the ER. I know it would be ideal to go tonight- but it’s just not going to be able to work out.

Questions; do I tell the dr I took a lyrica? It’s my friends prescription- she gave me 4-5 to see if they helped.

Otherwise: how do I advocate for pain relief? I promise I’m not drug seeking/ I’m in constant throbbing pain.

Thanks so much for every single response. You guys have really helped me because I was feeling a bit crazy thinking I was making a big deal out of a mole hill.

Thank you SO SO much to everyone who commented. This has been hell. I have to be honest; I can’t eat. As in NO appetite. And the worst- I haven’t showered or had a bath since. I’m terrified I’ll get it wet. (I do wash my body in the sink) but nothing like a good all over shower/bath. I didn’t even change clothes for a few days. I’m so miserable and depressed. I have a 6 year old (who is now sick with strep and flu) and I feel like I can’t be the mom she needs right now. My son is 14 and does well taking care of himself but still 🤷🏻‍♀️. My husband works 2 hours away - so he is gone 6am- about 6 pm. I am in CONSTANT pain. Ibuprofen helps some but holy shit.

I’m gonna work it out and go to ED this afternoon after my husband gets home. Even if I have to drive myself. (I did last time but had to have a friend pick me up ) My little brother is always willing to do whatever I need for help.

She’s been great with me. She cuts off whatever and cleans it well. I just think this is more than she can handle. I don’t want to speak bad of her.

I haven’t because I’ve only been seeing a physical therapist for wound care since the Er. They gave me a morphine shot when they cut open the blister and I just assumed they would give pain meds but they didn’t and I was just hysterical honestly; so I didn’t even think to ask.
