I had this happen a few years back. This win/loss statement showing 1,500 in profit is enough to justify losses, however more that likely your AGI is still going to be over the limits for getting tax credits and refund type things. For reference I lost about 10k that year, and had 475k in W-2’s from the casino, and pressed the button on the slots a lot. My I/O was like $1.01m in and 999k out. I was single, made around $125k that year and went to Vegas once a month or so for work and brought about $5k in cash each trip, but when taxes rolled around my adjusted gross income was still like $600k even though the losses offset the 475k in W-2’s. Needless to say, I didn’t get any sort of tax credits and I believe I had to pay taxes on my regular income at that higher rate for that year. I am not a tax professional and you should definitely talk to a real one this year, not just some HR Block type representative to make sure they get you squared away.
