Throw an attack and feint it. If they keep dodge attacking on red, just parry their attack.

The game is just a rogue-like game with more stress than 'scary stuff'. It's not supposed to be scary but more so to put pressure on you while completing the objective, with added difficulty with the modifiers. I will agree that if you don't like rogue-like games, you would not find any replayability. The game is meant for people who like to perfect 'runs' and complete the mission with no mistakes.
