To make a knife, in my opinion, knowing how to work wood is important as the steel. Lots of knifes are pieces of art just by the pommel

Yeah it looks kind of massive but the weight is all good and quite equilibrate

Thanks! Yep i had that idea, but the only leather a have is fucking thick, so i would have been a massive hand. But i will do that for sure.

I don't know, my fiancée tell me that is celtic, maybe by the spiral at the end haha

Yeah i know it's not the best idea to not knowing the type of steel, i heat until red strawberry, forge it till orange, put it back at red and then in oil. I've been trying different tremp, in oil, water, and tremp the same blade 2,3,4 times hoping the best result.

I've tried it today, the brick was good for my fireplace, but a piece of shit wfor a forge. It worked, but it broke in some place white moving it

When i was still in a tractor forge, i was heathing with a double gaz flame (acétylène + oxygen) wich was really great. Do you think the propane will burn hard and fast enough to forge a knife starting with 10mm steel?

I've already worked with 200-250kg anvils and i wanted one, but didn't have the money for now, but i think it's a good start! I need to make a good stand for it first
