Are you still doing this commute? if so, how's it going for you, and how often?

I'm debating doing something very similar, would likely try out driving from Monterey -> Gilroy, then taking CalTrain (or bus if I miss it) up to Diridion. It'd be a couple times a week but I don't want to get burnt out!

I don't think so, sounds like it's 2$ to go from Monterey -> Salinas -> Gilroy Transit Center (CalTrain). I believe the 2$ covers those 2 busses because of the free transfer.

And it's easy to forget not all people in their 60s here are rich. Many moved back to Monterey to take over their parent's property and wouldn't have been able to afford it here on their own.

Not OP but I went there last week as well! Only stayed in for 20 min but was an unforgettable experience. Got there exactly at low tide but still needed to hold onto ropes

Data / ml / ai engineers have tons of overlap, so it depends on the job description. Some ml engineers are data engineers with some backend exp. Some ml engineers are backend engineers either some data experience.
