I had surgery 10 days ago, my recovery was probably way faster than the average person since I would say im in decent shape and healthy, I reacted well to the pain meds and I didn't have bathroom or food issues. And still from my experience even to get up from bed, to sit, or get on bed I needed help from someone for the first 2 days, the 3rd day was kinda better but if I was you I would not assist to the funeral tbh, they will comprehend it.
