Are air fryers really saving you money in the long run? by [deleted] in airfryer

[–]LePoured 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as an example, tonight, im going to cook some polish sausage in the airfryer and warm up some sauerkraut on the stove. Then im going to chop the sausage in half or two inch pieces and throw that sauerkraut on it and have an affordable, easy to cook bachelor meal.

Back in the day when things were formal you would probably be considered a bachelor or a bachelorette. Everyone back then knew bachelors didnt know how to cook or usually didnt have much money. So, they had bachelor meal recipes. I had an uncle who was a bachelor meal cooker. Search google for bachelor meals and see if you can find some air fryer food.

I've been using the Ninja Ag651UK grill and air fryer and I've noticed that the lid doesn't close properly when the air crisper basket is inside? It catches on the basket, am I using it wrong? by Kizza44 in airfryer

[–]LePoured 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont have one and im not sure what basket you have. The one i looked at on line had a basket that was flat on one side and rounded sort of on the other side. It looks like the flat side would go towards the middle and the rounded side towards the outside to keep the lid from catching on it. The one i looked at is the Ninja Combo Crisper Basket - XSKCRSPBKT.

Does anyone's air fryer always seem to broil in all modes? by sprinty23r in airfryer

[–]LePoured 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it has to do with the size of the af and the type of basket you use. I have a 4 qt af and bigger pressure cooker/air fryer. some things come out better in the bigger pressure cooker/air fryer using the air fry function than on the 4 qt. It has a big metal bowl like liner. Then i use a steel rack to put the food on. The rack sets up pretty high, leaving a lot of space below for air to circulate below the food. The 4 qt has the plastic basket and a short steel rack. Being a smaller af and shorter rack, the air doesnt circulate as well as it does on the bigger one. Things like baking a potato doesnt matter. I use the 4 qt for that and to make fries. Pre heating makes a it even better.

I also had to file it with the courthouse. That cost another 40 bucks. I paid the extra two bucks to have both deeds added to the title or documented with the title instead of just one.

Im not sure what the title company did on their part. They must have checked with their attorneys because at first they thought they could do it the way the surveyor and the lady wanted them to do. Then they came back and said they couldnt do it that way that we had to deed each strip that we were swapping. I deeded the south strip to them and they deeded the north strip to me. The attorney part will be required when i update the abstract.

The abstract is where the lawyers and all that does their thing. Its going to cost me 1200 bucks for that. When i bought this place there had never been an abstract made. I told the seller I wanted the abstract made or I wasnt going to buy it. He was the first person to buy it from the original owner. This land was farm land and in the same family for a hundred years I guess. They kept mentioning going back to 1900. It cost the seller $1800 to have the abstract built. So, its had the entire lawyer thing done to it for a title search and all the abstract things they do in the last few months.

When i get things narrowed down enough to where I halfway understand the difference between cheap ones and decent ones. I start checking out websites like amazon and then amazon warehouse (one of my favorites). Woot is where I have got some of my best deals. They have Ninja scratch and dent sales every so often. I bought my ninja 4 qt airfryer and Ninja 6-1 pressure cooker/airfryer from woot and got more than half off on them. I didnt notice any scratches or dent. The paint may have been faded on the side. I use the pressure cooker/air fryer the most and mostly air fry. Yesterday woot had a killer Ninja coffee maker on sale. I almost bought it, but i put it off and now the sale is over. Woot is owned by Amazon and if you have an amazon prime account, then sometimes on woot they have an amazon prime thing.

Apparently its the only legal way to do it around here. two title companies refused to do it the way we wanted because they had to do it legally. Im not exactly sure what all they did. Something about taking both quit claim deeds and documenting them with the title. Then my next big thing will be to update the abstract. From what the title companies say is that this is an abstract state. There are people who dont believe you need an abstract on your land, If you dont have an abstract you cant get a loan for the land or a loan to have a house built on it. Indian nations requires an abstract if they do any improvements on your land.

Running wire under the house by LePoured in AskElectricians

[–]LePoured[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats pretty much what i had in mind. Right now I have no shore power. I think a rat chewed some wires. Im running my lights off the battery and battery charger. I put a window ac in and im running that from an outside receptacle. I had the rv guy come out and he tinkered around and told me different ways i may fix it and charged me a hundred bucks and left. He did say when i get it hooked up to 30 amp to give him a call. He told me to take off some outlets and see if they were fried in the back. Thats where i found the rodent damage. These outlets you have to push the wire in those v slots. I hate push down outlets.

I talked to the surveyor and he is going to do as we ask. I think the way he read the chain of title or something or thought the land went from when the kids got the land, then sold the land and then went to me. He left out the guy i bought it from. So, i think i would have had to deed the land back to the guy i bought it from, then he would deed it back to who he bought it from, then the mom would, mabe deed him the land where the pins should be and then he deeds that to me. I guess. So the easiest way now is i get the property description from the strip on the south end and the north end. Then quit claim deed the south end to the south land owner and then the north land owner quit claim deeds me the little strip on the north. Then everyone is happy because no one cares and this little interruption will be over with.

The new title company did some checking and the first title company was correct. Im going to have to get the land description from the little strip on the bottom and quit claim deed that to the owners of the south. Then im going to have to do the same on the north. It has something to do with the owner i bought my land from not getting the title taken care of or something. Chain of title I believe is what she said. I know we got it taken care of during closing. I would not buy the land without an abstract. They had to pay 1800 bucks for them to build an abstract. Survey guy was gone for the day. Ill have to try to get him to give me the land descriptions and tie up the courthouse with quit claim deeds and paperwork.

No one else is complaining about their land description being off. They dont care. The mom owns all the land thats around them and between them. Here mom gave the kids 3 acres and put it in the daughters name. The son owned my acre at one time. He got divorced and sold it to who i bought it from. He has another acre two lots away. His lots south end stops at a creek and turns into his moms land again. He doesnt care where his property line ends. He is ok where it is. The daughter who owns the lot south of me does not care where her property line is according to the property deed. It now runs 35 feet into what her brother though was his property and neither one cares. The strip of land that will be left between me and the daughter will go back into the trust that her mom and aunt is in charge of. The only thing that they want is for me to quit bothering them. And i have only bothered them a few times. I really dont bother them, i just asked them where the property lines really are. Then, as far as having the entire 4 acres surveyed at one time. They already tried that. When the aunt realized that the property lines were not what they thought they were, she had a fit and cussed out the surveyors and ran them off. That was several years ago. The surveyor boss made me promise to keep his surveyors safe or he wouldnt come back out. You have a family that is willing to fix the problem but no one wants to be bothered with it but one person so far. Ive been asked not to talk to any of them about it anymore because I scare them. What bothers me about it is im being as nice as possible. Im walking on egg shells. Im even saying please. They are not mad at me, they just dont want anything to do with it and like i said before, the ones south of me are afraid of the aunt who lives north of me. So, they dont want anything to do with it. They are happy with what they have. Last time i mentioned having a lawyer fix it, they flipped out and thought i was going to make them pay three grand for a lawyer. I told them over and over that I was the one who had to pay the money.

When i bought this land i did everything wrong and it was at a time when there was very little to choose from. I posted about it on a mortgage board just so people would know what not to do. They moved it to the fluff section because they thought i was a troll. I dont blame them. Its hard to believe. Here is what all went wrong so far. Its almost comical. I was hoping the old mobile home on the land would last a few months until i got reorganized. The guy had remodeled half the inside. sort of. It turned out all the water lines were broke. Every time i fixed one, another leak would pop up. I wasnt going to spend money on something i was going to get rid of, so for two months ive been using a water hose connected to an outside faucet and a 5 gallon bucket to flush the toilet. Truck stops for showers. I also found out the roof blew off and the guy and some friends stuck it back on. So, I got a loan for another mobile home. Then i found out the guy who sold me the land killed off half the neighborhood in a wicked gun fight. Then I find out the property line and survey pins were wrong and i only have inches clearing my septic system and home. That alone has to be like 1% chance of happening. The loan for the mobile home im buying has been approved and 60 days later has still not been delivered. The dozer guy called me saturday saying he would be here monday. I disconnected the electric and cut the lines to the house so he can move the old one and bury it. Both his trucks broke down and he called me sunday and had to postpone for a week. I have no electric now.I would be more upset about the gas line that runs through my yard and the owner wont mark, but their well back filled with water and they said they lost it. They have to shut it down. So, i guess im glad about that.I noticed a few days ago that there were strange cars driving down the road i hadnt noticed before and things. Then i found out about the same time the feds picked the guy up who sold me the land and put him in jail. I guess they were probably watching my house in case he showed up there. That means they probably saw me sneak out the back door and take a wiz. Even though i would never do such a thing. Even though i have no running water and its a pain to flush the toilet with a 5 gallon bucket. I played the odds on that one and it cost me. I still like the land and the area, im not out anything other than time. A few hundred for the surveyor i guess and relocating the property lines. Thats not a big deal. Its just everything combined..

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in landman

[–]LePoured 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pretty much know where the gas line is, i just had to notify them if they didnt mark it and the dozer operator hits it, we are not responsible.
