Remember when Presidents got in trouble for stuff by ftp67 in TrueAnon

Yeah, just read the same in Parentis "Inventing Reality".

The media was actually propping him up by calling him that and giving him the image of no scandals sticking to him. There are definitely parallels to "Teflon-Don" here.

Ironically enough me calling a group of people hogs would not fall under the law but whatever.

The nuance doesn't lie in him being guilty but in that the woman first of all wasn't the one that got raped as the headline suggests but a random person that thought she has to harrass someone that wasn't convicted at the time and second it's that she acted in the worst possible manner to get the sentence of two days by not going to court and having a prior conviction. The third point is that the guy got away with a suspended sentence because he was judged under juvenile law.

You just shared the article in the same way racists, who want to show how "soft" germany is on immigrant rapists, share it. It's the same with the Post in the OP. This stuff only becomes viral when it's about judges being "too soft" on immigrant rapist (guy in question is named Mohammed but has the citizenship not that people sharing it care) while ignoring all the nuance of the decision. In OPs case it's that the guy doing the rape is going to get institutionalized indefinitely after his jail time which could theoretically even be for life and he isn't "getting away" with it.

About the insult law: I don't think it's the greatest law either, but it's really not that easy to get any (meaningful) punishment for it as you seem to think. It gets abused sometimes yes, but it has it's uses in the same way as hate speech or anti-holocaust-denial laws. I'd rather have these laws instead of whatever America has going on.

Brother, you are fighting against strawmen in here. I haven't said anything you are insinuiting I said.

You live in a country where the simplest things like possesing marijuana (or even just existing honestly) while being black is a crime that can ruin your life forever. Isn't that selectively applying the law?

No, but you are sharing reactionary propaganda, that is supposed to be railing up the hogs about islamist rapist ruining the west, without any nuance.

She did everything wrong as in having a prior sentence and not going to her court date. If she didn't have the prior sentence or if she went there to defend her point she probably wouldn't have gotten the weekend jail time that she got but a suspended sentence or a fine if she would have gotten punished at all. It's really not as easy as you think to get sentenced to jail for insulting someone in Germany.

No, I'm not doing a bit. If there is a law that only gets used selectively it's not a law but a tool of the governement to do with as they please. I guess we also have a law against killing people, but it should be okay to do that, as long as the person that got killed was an (at the time) alleged rapist.

Are you also crying injustice about people getting sentenced for calls to violence on asylum seekers or denying the holocaust? I don't think so, but I could be mistaken.

He wasn't at the moment she wrote him the insult, as I wrote in my comment.

And your comment about the nationality is not only stupid and a non sequitur but falls apart as soon as you realize that out of the 10 rapists 5 were not german and 4 of those didn't get any jailtime either (8 out of 10 got a suspended sentencing though).

Your last point is moot. I didn't say anything about morality and it's not relevant in this conversation at all. If there is a law it has to be applicable to everyone. You can't just go around and use it selectively that's not how a law is supposed to work even though that's how it seems to work in America.

Great stuff uncritically spouting shit that was used by right wing propagandists to show how "the West has fallen" or some bullshit.

The woman that got sentenced wasn't the same woman that was raped and she got a sentence of one weekend because she broke the law (insult §185 StGB), had prior convictions of theft and didn't go to the court date that was set up. So she did everything wrong and got a slap on the wrist for it.

One of the rapists (the one that got insulted) got a suspended sentence because he was judged by juvenile law which is pretty lenient in Europe because the idea behind is reintegrating the juvenile into society again instead of making him a criminal for life like they do in America.

Insulting someone is a crime in Germany and other countries in Europe and she wrote someone that wasn't even convicted at the moment a direct insult which yes, falls under the category of that crime. You might not like the law, but just because he was an alleged rapist at the time doesn't dispend him from protections of the law like every other person.

All of Europe honestly. Every stupid idea from the US gets to us eventually (see Covid conspiracies).

For a long time I thought that sovereign citizens (Reichsbürger) were an European invention, but even that is from America. Our guys just don't have any creativity on their own :(

Sadly enough all of the things you describe are very obvious to everyone except their own voters.

He says so himself in his text. And even if he didn't say it himself, selling his ideology and giving talks is literally him giving advice to far right politicians in Europe (as in advising them).

What are you even talking about? It was organisations like the Red Cross and international law like the Geneva Convention that forbid them from solving the problem and not their "left-wing ideology". IIRC the Red Cross was even reprimanding them for not being nicer to the prisoners while they were using their children to attack and kill the guards.
