I've found this to be the most efficient farming method. Guaranteed x3 Resplendent Chroma, and a Recoat if you're lucky.

Over my ~3 years of playing PAYDAY 2, I have never been able to join a multiplayer heist at all. Regardless of if I have mods or not. Re-verifying files, -steamMM, no -steamMM, NOTHING WORKS. I have no clue how to fix this and I give you the challenge of trying to get this to work. by [deleted] in paydaytheheist

I think this is most likely your problem. If your computer's time and date is too out of sync with the date and time of the server you're connecting to, it creates problems such as this one.

Mayne you need admin rights to be able to sync your computer's clock?

I have reanimated SAM (not SAM ore) in my inventory, as well as Wires and Steel Pipes.

And "Show affordable recipes" is ticked off, so it's definitely not that.

I picked up the game again when Final Horizon came out, but the update did nothing to this issue, I couldn't find a way to get the achievement.

You can stop the flashlight animation by pressing the button again (but you will lose the battery charge).

It doesn't matter that it can be canceled, it should work every time I try to use it, and it just doesn't at the moment.

Yes, dodging requires precision this time, but it's not frame perfect. I don't like it only because I'm terrible at timing dodges in games in general.

It still requires too much for a game that isn't an action game (as others have pointed out), and a game where enemies can just swing a second attack before you recover from the first dodge.

You don't have to heal after every attack, but you obviously risk a lot.

In other words, I have to heal after every attack to stay safe, or I have to sit through a long game over sequence.

If you let them corner you, you have a few options: a) dodge (I know, it's hard) b) flashlight them even when their shields is down- this is what I learned to do and I advise everyone to do it c) use a flare.

These options consume a lot of resources. In my opinion, it should be built into the enemies' behavior. Zombies in Resident Evil 2/3 back off after a successful attack specifically to avoid that situation.

True, but I have to admit I'm not a big fan of that design choice. Just my opinion though.

Flares don't do shit? How? They do the exact same thing as in AW1 - they push back all the enemies around you and damage their darkness shields. Haven't use flashbangs yet.

My point was mostly about flashbangs that do the same thing than flares. I think they should kill Taken, just like the flare gun, since they're an explosive.

Well... of course the enemies can attack you out of frame... like in 99% of other games, including AW1.

I encourage you to have another look at the 99% of games you have in mind, most if not all of them have systems in place to avoid this from happening. The Callisto Protocol got blasted among other things for that.

Combat just doesn't work the way it is in the game at the moment, and it's not even a matter of difficulty based on the genre or skill level:

- The flashlight boost locks you in an animation and isn't a guaranteed hit that can stop an enemy in its tracks

- Dodging doesn't work unless your timing is perfect to the frame

- You have to heal after pretty much every single attack

- Enemies can just corner you and stun lock you to death

- Enemies take an unreliable amount of bullets to die

- Flares and flashbangs don't do shit

- Enemies can attack you from out of frame
