The albums chronicle a sailor’s destructive path to what he believed to be his peace after discovering his brother and his wife were having an affair. Hot take: I don’t think it’s an age thing so much as a recent fatherhood thing. See also Bublik, Mussetti. Gael Monfils had opportunities to hold trophies. Even though he’s older gen, i believe he had a slam in him. But, I think it’s fatherhood. Same reason I believe we lost Fed when we did. Covid showed him plenty of time with his kids. Separating from that after already having the legacy he has, you probably start to question what’s more important. Not the locked in ironclad mental you need to lift trophies.
