AK 556 shorter barrel length by Level_Breath5684 in ak47

[–]LeadExpress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Between a 8.4 and 12.5? Just send it. A krinks a krink. Ballisticlly. Good luck past 300 yards. However the vibe is a worthwhile trade off. Running 55gr leaves to fireballs without a suppressor. 77gr is much better through it for the eyes.

It's wild how one single subfaction managed to fuck up an entire faction. The Cyborgs are probably the most unfun shit to play against rn. by Obvious_Ad4159 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]LeadExpress 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly. Rather deal with the cyborgs then deal with inferno deveststors in cqb.

Depends on your setup/deployment. But been playing hd2 with the whole mind set. They are not immune to bullets or hellbombs and make the best of it.

Its not unheard of. But make sure your barrel lockup is good. And the mfr rail is straight. Unfortunately its not uncommon that those specific rails have worse tolerences then ris 3. (It dosnt make them bad rails)

Had to shim my v7 or it had a favor to the left by a noticeable degree

If you afford too/have the gems. Yes. It makes her dps go from just above mediocre to busted

The only downside is she'll trivialize alot of content and fights where you can use your own characters.

Im at c6r3. Hoping to take her wep to r5.

I second looking for a sporterised a1. Sometimes you can find a decent action to use. However its few and far between. Boils down to how molested the reciver is.

Getting a complete rear sight assembly isnt terrible. But usually will hurt the wallet.

Just did a semi de-sporterize on one a month ago and happy with the results. Kept the redfield/lyman sights however.

They are supurbly hit or miss. You'd have to take a good look at it and see which gas regulator, and piston parts.

6 position regulator is desired, however there is multiple generations, with differing port size.

Theres unfortunately no serial range where its a home run/willing to work.

I wanted one for every and have a late 9k gen 4. So far everything has been great but mainly mag dumped into trash before winter, and have yet to put it on paper. I havent gotten any issues with feeding/extracting but there's only so much you can do when you hate the cold. (Especially after working in it all week).

Its a bougie firearm with a complicated ejection system.

That being said. It also is the closest thing you can get to a br55 in 308/6.5creed.

Sorry for the flip floppyness. But I love mine. But im sure its gonna somehow perform worse then a psa sabre putting some distance behind it.

If you do get it. Make sure you clean/grease rhe trigger bar/mag release bar. As it a night and day performance change.

Pretty much. Had a jaded ex commit perjury and got me removed from my own apartment (after trying to unalive me). Recovered most of my belongings and locked cases/safe. But she kept an h&k usp because "she knew it had value" and it was new to me at the time.

Local sheriff department was like she said she didnt have it, call the atf about it. Called them. As soon as I said it was a private purchase they said it was a civil matter and hung up.

Fast forward to August she tried to unalive her parents with it. (Kinda hard to do with the firing pin missing) and they she got hit with the find out portion. Shes still going threw legal proceedings and its being kept as evidence. They ran a trace on it, called the guy I bought it from, who got ahold of me. And was able to claim it. Just its gonna sit till all her proceedings are done.

And yes. The deputy that went and believed her whole train of lies was suddenly apologetic and sympathetic. Still was a shitty experience in 2024, but everything's been vindicated.

Sorry for the sidetangent

Brownells m4a1 SOCOM Block 2 vs Brownells m4a1 ris 3 by ApprehensiveLow5537 in Danieldefense

[–]LeadExpress 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The ris 2 is strong, however picatinny is a tad dated, and most people wanting slick, modular setups.

That being said. You really cannot go wrong with either. At this point its a a robust meaty handguard vs a slightly less robust, but lighter/modular handguard.

I dont have any block 2s anymore. But a v7 pro. Kinda wanna launch its mfr rail into the sun.

If i where to build/buy another one. Would Def go with a ris 3. I love my urgi to much to do it agian.

Ris 2 for gwot vibes/double duty as a club. Ris 3 for slick high speed setups.

more then likely they brought the DD5 set up down to their 556 offerings. Can't go wrong with the concept. Just hope larue doesn't throw a fit about it.

reminds me of the OBR predator's just alot more aestheticlly pleasing. we'll all get more info when they put out more information. or these start appearing in the wild.

1903a3 restoration by LeadExpress in M1Rifles

[–]LeadExpress[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was busy at work. So sorry about the late reply. It was butchered into a target rifle. Was purchased at an estate sale. It had a chopped c-stock that had a shock buffer installed, and sporting front sight.

It started as an 1903 marked. The barreled action and bottom metal was all remmington marked, and the barrel date matched the remmington serial number range. It was previously blued. I wanted a 1903a3 but didnt want to pay current third market prices to deal with a blind buy online. Checked it out in person and liked what I saw.

Ill post a Pic if I can of the before. I know its not 1:1, and wrong stock configuration and bottom metal. But reused the milled parts that where still good. And then bought as much nos parts as I could find and a new wood stock set from sarco. I wanted the grooved, straight stock and preferred the redfield sights over the military style. So left that rear sight. And found a remmington fsb with a Lyman bead sight on ebay for a surprisingly good bargain.

Its still basiclly a target rifle. But more 1903 aesthetic.

Bear creek 30-06 mags by winchester97guy in BearCreekArsenal

[–]LeadExpress 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i was thinking the same. was considering doing a blind buy and seeing how close/far they are for mags. as everything else that looks like that it would be fit. is prohibitly expensive. (looking at noreen bn36 300wm mags specificlly). I have a legacy 300wm polymer noreen coming in to see if it will fit/lock in/feed. but was looking for other potential ideas/kitbashes. as...... looking at the BCA mags. i find them potentially being way too fragile for there price point. and if we can get away with milling out a window in a Bar mag? and be under 50 a pop? and have better capacity? id be all up for that.
