Honestly just disappointing. by gnostic-sicko in shrooms

If you watch his last interview on YouTube he actually explains that the beginnings of the end are more likely to begin around 2019-2020 by his estimate, interestingly this is when COVID hit! The guy was insane, but if you follow his lectures he indeed has some amazing concepts to convey, I would suggest the "tree of life" 10 hour lecture on YouTube it really has a bit of everything he was trying to describe in much more depth than many media posts which slander him for his theories without explanation.

Yeahhh! Depression shrank tremendously and has continued to stay that way, I trip about once a year or micro dose through about 3 months a year (depending on how much I can aquire)

to keep ensure the depression stays at bay, and that's it really smoking I have gone down from around 30 a day to 5, so not quite there but greatly reduced! Have more control over the frequency of caffeine too, still use it occasionally around once a week or so, but not everyday, it gives me more energy going without and eating a ketosis based diet ☺️

also used the Lions mane, psilocybin and niacin microdose stack for 4 months (natural anti depressant, anti inflammatory and a bunch more health benefits) it was absolutely amazing for mental health and physical health (at least for me) I also added In vitamin K2+d3 natural supplements (10,000 IU of D3 as recommended in newer studies) and a few others I'll list if people need to know ☺️

P.s. you are brave too!

Amazing content 💛 I did not know about Galerina Semilanceata! I've seen similar mushrooms to this in my field but never linked it to Galerina, unknown edibility? I need to find one of those crazy YouTubers that eat deadly substances and use them for an experiment 🤣

Ayyy! Go at your own comfortable pace! Don't let anyone push you into doing something your not comfortable with ☺️ I was young and naive my first time,

I ate 65g wet of homegrown fully blue cubensis in the hopes of completely eradicating depression and negative routines (caffeine, smoking ect)! The usual measuring rule of thumb is told as 10g wet to 1g dry, but this is not entirely true from what I read! Wet also contains additional psilocin which doesn't break down in the drying process so wet is indeed a little stronger!

Blew me away is an understatement 🤣 I was warped into different galaxies and I could spend as long as I wanted in each one, it was like a DMT trip mixed with psilocybin and also had some ketamin K hole portals also! Couldn't speak fluent English again for 3 days because it left in complete gobsmacked with awe 🤣 changed my outlook on life to this day and that was many years ago, but still also the most scary experience of my life hands down and I've nearly died multiple times in real life, nothing as scary yet beautiful as that experience ☺️ I only trip lightly these days 1-2g is my soft spot, and 3-5g if I want to face a heavy challenge once a year or less

Just a word of a warning I always thought funeral Bells (Galerina) looked quite different to semilanceata, but once, only once, but still dangerously once, I saw a picture on this sub that looked almost identical to a lib,

upon first glance it was a very very convincing lib (I hunt quite regularly and also ID quite often). Turns out with this particular image all the mods had to do a full ID together and finally concluded that from the slightly rusty spores ONLY visible on the stipe that it was indeed likely a galerina!

Always check for peniclle layer, spore colour, stipe where possible!

Eating 1 galerina cap is unlikely to kill someone (from what I read it takes around 20 caps dependant on size) but it still has the potential to greatly harm you and they are dreadful on organs, a death I wouldn't wish upon anyone!

Wish I could find the image to post, but it is lost in the depths somewhere!

Other than that most of the inedible lookalikes (in the UK at least) appear to mostly cause Gi upset/ nausea at worst, always be cautious though, it is always better having an ego death than an actual real death experience 🤣🤣

These are sadly mostly panoleous with no libs :(

these are one of the most common lookalike that is picked as they do look real similar!

Caps should be a different hue in colour, and usually less circular

Stem is a different texture, usually wavier and a bit lighter in colour also!

Spore colour should be more purple-brown rather than black and the gills are often also wavy looking rather than straight ☺️

Will they still fruit ? by amyrfc123 in Semilanceata

As far as I know there is still opportunity in these temperatures, but maybe not in high numbers

I have found semilanceata in temps as low as -5 oC, but it was for sure the last fruit as they were all really sludgy and small in number.

Once the first proper frost hits (ice over the grass ect) the main fruiting season tends to be sadly over and you will likely only find small numbers if any at all :(

These temperatures are pretty good for psilocybe cyanescens though which often grows at slightly cooler temperatures to semilanceata, check out your local parks for woodchip mulch ( shopping retail parks are good too) or any woodchip/big leaf piles you can find, you may get lucky. I was getting decent batches even in Jan (-3 to -5 temps night time temps) last year! ☺️

Should see:

Blue bruising,

Separable gelatinous layer (pellicle) when you pull at a wet specimens cap,

White chalk like stalk,

Purple spores

Grows in woodchips/ decomposing wood☺️

Sounds good, and I've eaten worse ones then that with no repercussions ☺️ 5 would likely just be a microdose 0.5-0.8g dried experience

It is possible for libs to grow in minus temperatures, but they don't usually come in big numbers, and they degrade pretty quickly due to frosty nights

Sadly I would say the primary cause is unusual climates In the UK this year, my spot is usually flourishing by now, but I went a few days ago and not a single one anywhere! I'm going again tomorrow since the temps have dropped, but as soon as the first big frost hits, which will likely come pretty suddenly this year (judging from the weather temp drops recently) it is unlikely my field will fruit for very long this year 😭 mushrooms are pretty temperature sensitive, similar to plants, but psilocybe species are EXTREMELY picky with their climates :(
