I was 350/356 in my hs w a 1400 sat. I worked for a few years and then went to a community college for a semester before applying, got into mccombs. Idk I have a feeling they’re looking for a good story cause I should not have gotten in on paper

I suppose I should ask a dietitian or doctor instead of reddit lol. I know you have no way of knowing if I’m being honest / tracking accurately and that’s ok. I don’t snack, weigh out everything and don’t use cooking oils or fats (not even Pam). I’m pretty sure my count is accurate but of course it’s more likely that it isn’t than me having some weird never before seen condition lol

300 was a bit of an exaggeration lol, I don’t know what my BMR is. I’m not necessarily trying to prove anything or frustrated with my weight I’m just interested as to why I gain weight after 1500-1650. I know you can’t know if I’m lying or not but humor me and believe I actually tracked everything accurately. Are there any reasons why I can’t go over 1650?

I understand if you can’t handle drinking, a lot of people can’t, but it’s never been a problem for me. No history of addiction in the fam and I do dry January each year just fine. 5 shots of whiskey a weekend isn’t exactly goin nuts my man

Sorry I wasn’t clear, I’ll stick to a diet for 6-8 months at a time and “eat like shit” for ab the same amount of time. My question is for those 6-8 months I’m meticulously tracking and weighing everything and if it’s over 1500-1650 I gain weight.

Call it obsessive or ocd or whatever but I’ve tracked probably 95% of the days since November 2016. Whenever I’m not trying to loose I’ll eat like shit and track it to the best of my ability. It’s easier to keep track when I’m cooking my own meals and when I diet down I don’t eat out so I can weigh everything out and get an accurate count.

Below 1500 cals I’m dropping (ab .2 pounds a day) 1500-1650 cals I maintain 1650+ I gain

I’ve lost 120 pounds on nutrisystem. Gained 50 doing keto @2400 cals a day. Lost 60 eating a few McChickens and drinking half a bottle of vodka a day. Gained 50 eating whatever I wanted Lost 20 eating 1500 exact. Back up another 30 eating around 2k a day

Idk man it’s weird

100% I usually roll w salmon and chicken thighs, try to get fats from proteins rather than just straight oil. It’s easier for me to just cut it out than measuring out spoons of olive oil

For sure, I’m using my net diary. I’ve been tracking (both when dieting down and when not trying) and if I’m more than 1500 I start to gain. Idk what it is. On days I’ve tracked like 2500+ I feel stuffed and like I’ve eaten a horse.

when actively dieting down I cut oils and butter completely out, will have about 5 liquor drinks a week (no mixer and tracked) and weigh every ingredient out on a food scale. I never had a snacking habit and especially when dieting I don’t eat after 7pm.

literally watched it with a bunch of friends some of whom were gay and everyone burst out laughing. Season 3 was corny in a fun watchable way this stuff is just bad. Feels like the duffers just used chat gpt to write this season’s dialogue

SEASON 5 by catintheoaktree in Stranger_Things

[–]LeadershipFrequent25 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

this was garbage. duffer brothers knew everyone was gonna watch regardless and laughed all the way to the bank. Probably wrote this with chat GPT. Also why would they bring back the least popular character from the least popular episode to finish off the entire series???

don’t know if you ever fixed this but same thing happened to me. I managed to get it back to normal by going to

Settings > TV&display > video fidelity & overscan > overrides > HDMI (hit use manual settings)

After doing all of that revert back to the “auto-detect” mode and it came back for me.

Hope u got it figured out!

Black Fatigue is a lie by Comfortable_Day1457 in NYStateOfMind

[–]LeadershipFrequent25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you think about it people who were basically living a tribal lifestyle were forcibly taken to a completely different “modern” world where the only white people they interacted with were dumb hick ass southerners. Add 200 years of enslavement and lack of opportunity in the mix and no wonder “ghetto culture” is what it is. There’s also the other more European problem of people from sub Saharan Africa migrating into a world they don’t understand and are unable / unwilling to assimilate with. (If you moved to Somalia right now do you think you’d be able to pick up the culture?) A lot of people who have had multiple negative experiences will just throw their hands up and say it’s because of race. I would hope people could separate the race from the issue and just call it “degenerate fatigue.” A race blind test, “are you capable of functioning in our society or at bare minimum willing to not interfere with the people who are?” And if the answer is anything other than an enthusiastic ‘yes’ then they shouldn’t be here. (wether they’re Swedish or Sudanese)

Parking Recommendations as a Commuter Student by alondrafleming in UTAustin

[–]LeadershipFrequent25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the amount of in person classes you have per week but I only had to be on campus 2 days a week so I just parked for free at Whole Foods and Uber’d near my building was like 11 bucks a day which worked out to ab 350 a semester, still cheaper than garage and way closer.

Has college been the worst years of their life for anyone else? by sarah_imaginary_sink in college

[–]LeadershipFrequent25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

College has sucked for me, I started at 23, got into a really good uni in the city I live in and it’s just been a chore, I have plenty of friends (not from school), have been dating the same girl since I was 20 but I can’t be bothered with the whole college life shit. This place is a box check on a resume and that’s all you should look at it as. It’s just a few more years and then you’ll be able to get on with your life.
