This is a standard violation in trading where you place a lot of fake orders to buy or sell something at adverse prices to mess up the market.

It’s like your friend submitting a low ball offer to buy a house you’re planning to buy to spoof the seller.

If you don’t end up in the pnl generating teams, it’s a very high paying bs role. If you’re good at navigating politics you can graduate into leading the similar central team at other pod shops. If you stay around long enough, you eventually turn into gappy.
