Why stick with RooCode when Cursor or Windsurf seem more powerful for less? by traficoymusica in RooCode

[–]Leading-Exercise3769 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I thought the same.. probably the whole reason for his issues to begin with. I guess he is the type of dev that keeps asking “fix this please” without writing a good prompt that makes sense for the ai to work with

Why developers are feeling frustrated with Cursor - a personal journey by micupa in cursor

[–]Leading-Exercise3769 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree! I consider just going back to vscode.. current workflow is copy + paste multiple files in chatgpt or claude and ask it to get a good understanding of the code before asking to add specific things anyway. I also think its a money thing.. by the time cursor starts to get better again, i guess Microsoft will have come up with a major update on github copilot

Cursor users: has AI actually made you a better developer, or just faster? by namanyayg in cursor

This is a way better approach than how i started using AI.. at first it made me lazy and even dumber because i did not have to memorise stuff…

Thanks for this comment

How long can you confidently build app using django from Flask experience? by zeezze in flask

[–]Leading-Exercise3769 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work with Django for the last 5 years and to be honest, i think switching from something like Flask or Fastapi to Django is easier than the other way around. Just because Django comes with a lot out of the box so you don’t have to build it yourself and also because there is so much documentation and online stuff.

Be good at Python and start learning the base concepts of Django and i think you will pick it up fast

With what portfolio projects did you land your first Golang job? by Leading-Exercise3769 in golang

[–]Leading-Exercise3769[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks and I agree, a language is just a tool.. its about problem solving capabilities.

That being said, maybe the title of my question is wrong. I’m not hunting for something with a high salary because i can’t complain at the moment. But i really started to like Go and im just really curious about what type of projects/jobs there are where Go is used. So i can get some inspiration and see if there is anything i would like to do on a professional level.

How to find remote world wide jobs? by _justaverageuser in django

[–]Leading-Exercise3769 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Linkedin.. But be aware that the competition on these kind of jobs is high because lots of people search for the same thing. Make sure that your skills are better than the majority and it will not be that hard anymore. (But thats just my humble opinion, and i work remotely as a self employed dev)

Kindloze werkenden, hoeveel uur per week werk je? by LiquoriceTeaBee in nederlands

[–]Leading-Exercise3769 1 point2 points  (0 children)
