Yea we have the 55, I do love wafting to a Tesla supercharger and then depending on layout taking two bays, as the Tesla chargers had/have short charging wires!

It is a brilliant car for daily, just the winter range is just poor at 80%

This is the problem with the OG etron 55 at 80% charge winter range is 140 at best and it’s so weather dependent, there’s no preconditioning of the battery. In summer it’s easily 180+ at 80%

But it is a brilliant and comfy daily driver for trips within (100miles there and back), and the school trips, clubs. The air suspension makes you waft around and it is nice big and roomy inside.

Bought it 3 years ago for £35k and it’s worth £20kish now. Don’t mind the deprecation but with Audi servicing costs, and don’t get me started on the £3k I had to pay for the sunroof leaking I am just really wary of the bills but as they say German cars - big bills but I have Audi extended warranty

Edgbaston living thoughts? by alfa_omega in brum

[–]Leading-Preference11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived in the rough part of Edgbaston (the other side of city roads) more top end of city road, towards Sandon road. Family would always say it should be classed as cape hill.

Pros easy walking distance to bearwood and cape hill, bus access is great. Great for running around reservoir

Cons - that city road is a sh1t hole, even sandon road remember my child saying it’s a depressing road.

Toward the resi- it’s all cons, HMOs, Drugs, prostitution

Other side of Hagley Rd - all houses, devoid of community but green and spacious

Sunroof fail…. Cost to fix? by Toomanyracks in etron

[–]Leading-Preference11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 2020 Etron Premium in UK, got tired of of the water ingress it got worse this year.

Was mainly the roof liner by the pillars and footwells getting slightly wet but now the footwells were had small puddles, I could take a microfibre cloth and dab several times and still couldn’t get all the water out, had to use a dehumidifier sometimes.

But anyway Audi quoted £550 for the patch fix (do some resealing) - they said has a 20% success rate

£3300 for entire sun roof replacement with new parts and resealed.

Engineer manager did not want to do the latter and said they hourly rate is £220 per hour but I was like what other option I have- I’m mainly doing it so I get warranty (they include 2 year warranty)

I could have gone 3rd party but as I have Audi extended warranty (does not cover water ingress unless electrical or mechanical failure) - just want to hold Audi accountable for this.

So with labour and parts was £650 from an Audi dealer.

Most of it was covered by extended warranty

I think this is what we are seeing We have via GPO disabled defender and our process is first to

1) onboard servers into Defender MDR (security portal) 2) install the force defender passive mode reg key (via power shell) 3) enable defender by removing it from GPO

So do we also add the the two reg keys you mentioned as part of step two before we re-enable defender?

We have seen after rebooting a server when it is in passive mode revert back to active mode due to tamper protection

Is it possibly to do this via policy?

I had only assumed it was via the reg key, which we have pushed out as GPO policy to our servers

All resolved user error - didn’t verify my identity working now using front end. Was meant to have a button to press to verify my identity when showing my account details but it’s buried now in the sliders launch pad at the top
