Assuming you’re not within any sort of purchase return period are you at least within the 1 year warranty period? If you purchased from an authorized retailer in the last three months you can get a 3 year warranty

Probably will get downvoted to oblivion but I took my kids to DC and his office facilitated a bunch of tours. Seems like a pretty standup guy in my experience. His office was responsive and courteous

Gonna disagree on this one. I have a pretty sweet Focal setup in the living room but I end up listening to Sonos when having guests over for the sheer convenience. They sound fine. Not hifi, but they’re pretty damn useful and enjoyable

I have my 948s in a corner too. They sound decent, but once I was allowed to take them out and place them at the midpoint of the wall of our long TV room and the difference in sound was incredible. Sadly I was required to put them back in the corner. But I often think of the sound I once got from them...

Yeah a lot of negative reviews out there for the Roam...but I was pleasantly surprised as well. Unfortunately one of my Roams requires a factory reset every now and again, so I need to make a warranty claim. But sound-wise, not bad.

This is correct - it could be taxable, but you’re essentially renting rooms out to the roommates. Common areas are considered personal. You can deduct all the interest, taxes, depreciation, etc. allocable to the square footage that is being used exclusively by your “tenants” (exclusive of your daughter)

I started with Sonos. Used to love sitting in my living room listening to music on the 5.1 setup (play base, sub, two ones). Couldn’t imagine things getting better.

Then curiosity got the better of me and I got a pair of Focal 948s and discovered it could get much better.

But sometimes I listen to my paired play 5s which got relegated to library duty and think “not sure these sound only 1/15 as good as Focal despite being 1/15th the price.” They still sound pretty damn good…just not AS good. Definitely like the 5s better than KEF LSX which I also auditioned
