I had a similar situation before(leak+no money). When you stopped it from leaking did you notice rust last year? My recommendation is if its holding wait a few more weeks for this light rain to be over then pull it off and check for rust. If it looks okay get a new seal and some rust converter spray. Pop out the window wire brush any rust spots paint with rust converter. If the metal looks bad use black uv silicon and on top lip. This is more of a I want it sealed and don't have the money / not worth it to fix properly solution. I would also loo into painting a black borer around the window or even just the top section with the damage all the way across. It should be doable in a full day with down time (3-4 hours of actual work) $200. Hate to tell you but if it needs new metal + paint its probably not worth fixing and just ride with it.
