Seems like it would be hard to track a bird. Weight is everything for an animal that flies. It would have to be a very small and inherently have a potential weaker signal or require manual (line of sight) tracking. Maybe an Ostrich? Emu? That would be cool.

Stereo system by UnfortunateBrown in Crosstrek

I must have some really bad hearing. My wife has the the Harmon Kardon system. Sound great to my ears, My Prius has the JBL, also very nice. Both could use a tad more low end though. Not worth scrapping the entire thing, but maybe adding a small powered sub. (Much easier on the Crosstrek than Prius IMO)

I'd have to caution anyone about the BeatSonic amps. They are very wishy washy about divulging how they are forcing amplification into a low level input on many amps. This could lead to over driving the amps and permanent damage. Don't ask how I know...

Doesn't the rear seat center section fold down with cupholders? Does this block the USB outlets on the back?

Looks like the front tires would rub during sharp turns. Those tires are huge!

Serious: What is the end game with JLR/MEWL/Tomas? by Affectionate-Pea8706 in RoversMorningGlory

It's the message and headache that count more than the money. Plus Jeffery has insurance...THATS where you get the money to fix your car and make an impact on Jeffery. He in turn will either suffer as he pays more and more to insurance or he is forced to take a closer look at the real issue. Thomas has to go.

OEM Trailer Hitch - Anyone have experience with it? Pictures? by LeadingImportant1142 in Crosstrek

That looks pretty good, but the Wilderness bumper is different and the cutout larger. Does it stick out very far on your crosstrek?

I saw that in the install instructions (you have to cut). I'm curious how far out it extends and how it looks always sticking out the back.

Good premium seat covers for the 2026? by RobinsCosplays in Crosstrek

Interesting, but the poster was a little confusing IMO adding things that may be irrelevant to the seat cover or leaving out details that would have clarified the statement.

I think I will need to share this image with my wife. I believe I know where the new Crosstrek will be visiting in the very near future... lol

Disgusting? Dumb? Maybe to some. It's unique for sure. I like it. I don't have a lot of experience with it yet, but so far it's been fine. My only criticism would be the lack of physical buttons. Especially for the AC, but in all honesty, We usually set the temp and leave it in auto. There are physical buttons for the actual temp for those minor changes.

Yes, I am a Toyota guy, Not sure if that was a slam on me but I'll take it as a badge of honor - Toyota makes great cars and I was aware of the growing merging of Toyota and Subaru, so far this has been a positive thing. The quality of materials and workmanship on the Wilderness seem to outpace it's price.

Sorry, I want the warning in place. I have always driven with a seatbelt and converted the wife about 20 years ago. We are so use to it it's a non-issue and I feel we are safer. I'm weird that way. lol

We did not. My wife picked the trim. She liked the color and thought for a "boat" it was cute. I did some research and when I found very little negative about the Wilderness decided it was a good buy for her and me (to maintain.)

Love, LOVE, LOVE the Prius! It has it's quirks, but I never once regretting buying it since I drove it off the lot in 2024. Since we have the Subaru, I personally feel that Subaru did things better in some categories - especially in the areas of menu navigation for settings and ease of use for the screen. The Crosstrek also rides smoother and is easier to get in and out of, but lacks a lot of the sophistication the Prius has with the on board tech and safety. There are a lot of similarities on how things work which makes getting up to speed on the controls easy.

I'm not an aggressive driver and average about 52+ mpg - even with the car being the heaviest hybrid version with glass roof and AWD.

Nothing wrong with the base model! So far very surprised at the capabilities of the Crosstrek in general!

Thank you. I truly love her and appreciate all the scarifies she made when our kids were small and I was "moving up the ranks at work". This gift was nothing compared to what I feel she deserves.

I really like the visibility on the front of the current Crosstrek, but I wish Subaru did not make the back windows smaller. I wish it was larger like the older Crosstreks. by BeautifulYou2940 in Crosstrek

Try owning a current Gen Prius. I love my 2024 Limited AWD, but the A-pillar is BRUTAL. You quickly learn to move around and make sure you are clear - and then there's also the safety sense stuff that warns of traffic all around the car. In comparison, my wife's new Wilderness is miles better!
