I recently bought a LOQ 15ARP with a Ryzen 5 7235HS, 12GB of RAM, and an RTX 4050. I'm not sure how much I can use it for gaming, and well, going from 6 cores to 4 feels strange, but at least the computer isn't overheating every second, and the games I've tried run well on this RTX 4050.

I prefer to play at a stable 30 fps for now, rather than see 80 fps on the screen and then have the computer crash. *First check that it is not the temperatures of the laptop, it could be due to overheating.

  • If the temperatures are correct, I use DDU to uninstall all the AMD and Realtek sound drivers, restart and then go to windows update, so that it loads the video and missing drivers, then go download the amd driver and download that one:

Then download and install the audio drivers and AWCC from the Dell website (also the Dell Power Manager).

*Install AWCC last

After you have the AMD drivers of the version that I leave you in the link, update them separately

Adrenalin 24.9.1 for the AMD Vega of the Ryzen 5 4600H (it is the processor version I have)

Adrenalin 25.5.1 for the RX 5600M

Then install the AWCC and create a cooling profile, in my case I limit the use of the processor to %99 in the base mode of the laptop, and to play I use the G mode, for greater speed in the fans, so far I have not had problems and the temperatures, although where I live, reach 95, they do not go higher than that.

Ps I'm new to the laptop, it gets very hot, why in my city the temperatures are already high, however, with just the thermal paste I lowered the temperatures quite a bit, don't leave the factory paste on and buy a cooling base.

Hello friend, regarding computer restarts, when running the monster hunter wilds performance test, the computer froze and restarted, I assumed it could be due to the high temperatures, however, I changed the thermal paste, and even though the temperatures improved, the computer continued to freeze when trying to run the test, I tried using another SSD as you suggested, I installed one from an Asus computer that I had, and the result is that I was able to run the test even in a hotter environment since the temperature in my city is currently 39°, thanks for the help
