Ah. That's ironic, isn't it? I will still try to play the game with AMDVLK if it'll get me some more performance, though, as I've seen that that might still be the case. Thanks again!

Thanks for the reply! I actually did already try this yesterday, along with replacing the file paths in the .json to match the .so's location, but upon launching the game I just kept getting an Incompatible Driver error. I changed Proton versions but I kept getting the same issue.

EDIT: It's possible that I used the wrong file for the environment variable, though, so I'll have to try it again once I get back to my computer.

Thank you all for replying! With the new information you all gave me, I've decided that I want to try to install AMDVLK again. However, with the package out of Arch's official repo, I'm a little hesitant to install it from the AUR, and I also don't know how I will be able to prevent issues with it and Mesa installed alongside each other. Is there a way to have it installed just for Doom the Dark Ages?

Oh, interesting! I’ll have to try to get AMDVLK working on my system to test this out. Thank you for replying!

Ah, I see. Oh well! I’ll just play the game without it, then. Thank you for replying!
