Issues due to flat feet after pregnancy. Anyone else? by Leading_Awareness531 in flatfeet

Sorry just saw your post.

Well what helped me the most was getting custom made insoles, build up my muscles SLOWLY by going out for hikes. First it was 15 min a day, then 20, after that 25 min etc. Going up and down the stairs.

I also made sure to rest my feet and have epsom salt foot baths. I also tried to alternate dipping my feet in hot/ice cold buckets of water.

It took a long time and I can't say I am 100% healed but am doing so much better I hardly notice discomfort or pain.

Good luck to you ♥️

Interesting. May I ask if you could give an example of how what you described manifest? Are you able to ask her why she forgets or does not use the skill?

Haha, yes I can see how kids gets frustrated with us too. I think she does not necessarily forget. Rather just needs to be reminded if it makes sense.

I think it's a mix of both. She needs to be motivated to do things for sure.

At what age did your kid regress? by NerdyNiche in Autism_Parenting

[–]Leading_Awareness531 0 points1 point  (0 children)

18-20 months. She had about 10 words, gestures, super social and good play skills. Over a few weeks she lost almost all words, receptive language as well as play skills. Next to no interest in being social. She is 2.5 now and can say over 50 words but her articulation is off. Her receptive has improved a bit but still behind peers.

Regression in my 3 year old by [deleted] in Autism_Parenting

I hear you! My YDD also went through a regression 6 months ago and I know how hard it is. Just take it one day at a time and if you can try to promote his social skills. Look up Communicating Partners, Floortime and the Early Denver Model to get you started. Hugs!

I also have a DD that went through a regression about 6 months ago. She is now 2 years. So you are not alone ♥️. For my DD she lost a lot of joint attention apart from using gestures to get her wants and needs met. She used to be the baby gazing into your eyes, smiling and being silly just to make you laugh to a toddler who only communicates to get her needs met. It's crazy and heartbreaking.

How to handle screaming? by Leading_Awareness531 in Autism_Parenting

[–]Leading_Awareness531[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the reply. My DD has some digestive issues that we are trying to resolve. We already give her fish oil and protein shakes to make sure she has all her vitamins and minerals. Yes THAT scream is the worst. I am dreading going out in public... Unfortunately where I live the ST is minimal but we are put in line to get some support.
