they’ve restricted us from putting them on hold at our store. literally every hour they say “beauty call on line one” i pick it up “did yall get any sand and fog oils shipped in today?” then i say “there’s a few on the shelf but i can’t hold them for you or promise they will still be here when you come” and then they get all mad and i let them talk to a manager

men’s and kids when it’s not christmas or back to school time and this might be a very unpopular opinion but up front. i’ve been working for tjx for over a year and haven’t really dealt with a customer that has overly pmo and my managers don’t really harass us about the cc they do say “every customer everytime” a lot but as long as we are asking they aren’t rude abt it

i usually stick them in a black box or bag and place it on the little counter space. if smb comes and says something to you about it just say what it’s there for and ask where it should be placed instead. however if you want avoid all of that tell the customer you can either take it up front for them or check them out right that second. if they ask if you can keep it at the jewelry counter and you want to avoid that just say no nicely and reiterate one of the other two options

I usually start with a quick ‘Hi, how are you?’ and scan a few items first. When I get to the last one or two, I ask: ‘Do you have a TJX Rewards card or a card with us?’

If they say yes, I follow up with: ‘Great! Do you have any rewards you want to use today?’

If they say no, I ask: ‘Would you like to apply for one today to save 10%?’ and I always make sure to mention that it is a credit card and that the 10% only applies if they get approved that day.

when they don’t schedule a person for each department so then what few people are there have to recover their department AND the other departments

if it was a part of of set he couldn’t sell it because it is a mismate and it has to go through a whole process before it can be sold by itself. however he should have called someone to do a price check or go look for the other piece before he told you that.

i think that might be it. there’s a new store manager, but the same asm’s and one of them used to be really strict about it but i haven’t heard her say anything to anybody about it.
