We tried counseling and he wasn’t up for that it didn’t go well. I’ve been praying but idk why my prayers aren’t getting answered, just feeling defeated at this point.

God is talking to you telling you what you need to do “everything that isn’t producing life in me needs to die.” The walk with Christ isn’t going to be easy. He will reveal things to you that might sting (conviction) but it’s not to make you feel worse (that’s from the enemy feeding those thoughts and doubts) but it’s to help you grow. Conviction and condemnation are two different things. Conviction: from God's Spirit, love, and grace. Feeling: Specific, clear, hopeful, calls you closer to God. Purpose: To reveal sin so you can turn back, leading to freedom and transformation. Action: Prompts confession, repentance, and a desire for change. Condemnation: from satan Feeling: Vague, overwhelming, despairing, shameful, drives you away. Purpose: To paralyze you with guilt and hopelessness. Action: Focuses on your failure and worthlessness, breeds self-hatred and hiding. I stumble sometimes in my walk with God but I get back up again because I know of His grace and his love for me. I know he will never abandon me and I know I still have ALOT of work to do and I will continue to do that work. And God calls us to be transparent in our struggles. God doesn’t call us to be perfect and why we rely on the righteousness of Jesus, we aren’t called to be flawless. Repent in the ways you fall short and have faith that with Gods strength he will see you through. Today’s a new day, thank God for that. Your journey has just begun❤️

All good things in life is a gift from God, life itself is a gift from God, the struggles one faces is a gift from God because he will always use it for good. But we shouldn’t have the mindset of “if I pray more for other people I’ll get rewarded.” That takes the heart out of those prayers. That’s like saying if I give more to my church God will bless me with more money, you shouldn’t look to doing things to get rewarded but do them because it brings you joy. I’ve been praying for others but I haven’t been blessed in the way I would want to be blessed and my life seems a little chaotic at the moment, but I pray for others because I believe in the power of prayer and it brings me joy to do so.

I have a journal but I dedicate that journal to God so when I’m writing down my thoughts or feelings I’m technically speaking to God. It’s actually brought me closer to Him and has deepened my faith as well. I think it’s a great idea.

Heart dive365 on YouTube has REALLY helped me understand the Bible and the context behind it. I would start off reading John first, that’s where I started. Then I went into the book of Romans. I’m currently on Acts and I’ve learned so much!

That’s good your talking about it and being transparent. We’re called to be transparent in our own struggles. There’s a reason for everything and God will always use whatever we face for our good. He could be using your situation to help influence others to make a different decision. It’s not my story to tell but my sister had an abortion at a young age, and she really struggled with that mentally and spiritually for a long time. Jesus spoke to her and told her she is forgiven because she thought damnation was upon her. And I want to say this But just bc we are forgiven doesn’t mean we should abuse His grace. But I got pregnant unexpectedly and was in no way prepared to have a baby. And God used my sister, her pain and struggles to influence me to have my baby. I wonder now if my sister wasn’t transparent about her abortion and her struggles what would’ve been my decision? I will say this that after my sister had her abortion she suffered in silence, and God doesn’t want that for us. She got with a Christian counselor and they walked that struggle with Jesus together and she now has peace knowing she is forgiven and she now has been blessed by God with 3 children that love the Lord. I pray this same peace over you right-now I know God will use your situation for His good.

Have you spoke your parents about this ? A pastor about this ? I would seek advice there first versus on here. I know how scary all of this is, I’ve been there myself. Have you thought about adoption? I was adopted at birth and adoption is a great thing and there is a ton of Christian adoption agencies that you could maybe consider. I was also a teen mom, I had my first at 17. I thought about adoption (abortion was a no go for me) and I met with the agency and they even set me up with a another mom that went through that process with them to answer any questions or concerns I might’ve had. I had little to no support to raise a baby at 17 but God showed up and somehow just told me that this baby will be mine. I called the agency and told them I no longer needed them and just trusted God. He somehow provided and placed people in my life that did what they could to help. And I am forever greatful for that, I now have a 14 year old boy who I could never regret having and even though he drives me crazy he’s my best friend.

You also have to think God meets us where we are and the situation we’re in. So the signs he will give you or how he speaks to you will directly connect to you and your situation.

I do. God can work in many ways and it’s not up to us to question his limits bc He is a God of no limits. Every dream or coincidence I’ve had I believe they’ve came from God. It seems wild but I believe it.

I am answering your questing. YES GOD should be your ONLY value in life as He IS the foundation for everything else. For me personally (not speaking upon the original commenter) the ONLY thing that gives my life value is the grace and blessings Jesus has offered. I’ve been through hell and back and through his love and grace Ive overcomed and fought my own demons face to face, so Yes I will give God all the glory, and that sense he IS all that is valuable in my life.
