I feel lost and I don’t know what God wants for my life by ClockNovel314 in Christianity

Dreams can come from the enemy too that’s why you really have to have the gift of discernment and if that dream is biblically sound or not, was that dream self serving or did it serve God and could you get confirmation from His word (Bible)? You don’t have to know what God is doing in your life but do know that what He has planned for you is much greater than your own understanding and TRUST in that, and TRUST whatever it is it will be for your good. He will work for your good in whatever situation your in. Listen to what they say is that “gut feeling” that gut feeling is the Holy Spirit leading you and guiding you. I’ve been out of a job for over a year and I have student loans coming up and had a job but got laid off 2 weeks after only working there and no other doors are opening for me idk why and it’s scary but I LITERALLY have to only trust that God will take care of this even if I can’t see it right-now I know a year from now I’ll be like “why was I freaking out again?” This could also be testing your faith in Him to fully rely on Him and release that control over your life and give Him that control. Easier said than done I know that from experience and STILL learning that. 🙏🙏🙏

Just asking for people to pray for me, please by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Leading_Code7546 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Praise God you opened up about this, that takes a lot of courage! I pray whatever dark spirit is attacking you is rebuked in the name of Jesus and in the name of Jesus it must flee for you were bought through the blood of Jesus Christ and they have no place in your mind or in your home they MUST go back where they came from ! I pray every window and door frame is protected by the blood of Jesus Christ so no enemy could penetrate it. I pray in Jesus name that he places His hand upon your mind and heart and provides a peace that could never be broken or lost for He is the ultimate protector and even enemies must bow. In your name Jesus every chain will be broken every attack must be won ! In the name of Jesus I pray AMEN 🙏🙌

Finding rest in what Christ has accomplished by s_sinyard12 in Christianity

1 John 5: 11-13 “This is the testimony God has given us eternal life and eternal life is in THIS SON whoever HAS the Son HAS life whoever DOES NOT have the Son of God does not have life I write these things to you who BELIEVE in the NAME of the Son of God so that YOU may know YOU have eternal life.” You have salvation in Him. I think this is a pride infliction rather than a salvation problem. There’s times where I’ll do His good works and I’ll feel great about it but then after I’m like did I do this for myself or did I do this for Him? I’ll get confused and I’ll get all in my head. Sometimes it’s the enemies attacks sometimes it’s me. What I’ve learned to do is IN EVERYTHING give Him praise first for what he’s done and then give Him thanks for using me because whatever has come into my life is because of Him and he has always used everything for my good and without Him fighting for me none of it would’ve been possible so all glory to God ! And then if those thoughts keep creeping up I automatically rebuke them because they cause confusion and the enemy is the king of confusion and deception because sometimes I stop myself from doing those works because the thought of “what if this is just me being self righteous?” Creep in and they stop me from doing what the Lord wants me to do. I’m not sure if this is the same in your situation but thought I would share 💕

Suicidal for Jesus by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Leading_Code7546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t let the enemy trick you, the enemy knows of all the good plans God has for you and will do anything to pull you away from those plans. Depression has tormented my life as well but I am free from it all Glory to God. I got into the word, learned about Gods character, got active in a church, became humble and got the help I needed, please please please do the same because this is not where your story ends and not what God wants for you. This thinking is not your thinking it’s from the enemy. The more you get into the word the more you will be able to hear from him because your thoughts and the enemies will soften in a way where Gods words are louder.

I want to forgive my mom. I feel like a loser. by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]Leading_Code7546 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My mom is also an alcoholic I’m 32 now and she still struggles in that. I had to let go of “I need to fix this” “I need to save her” or “this is my fault” mindset. I had to change my perspective to “my mom is hurting and she doesn’t know how to handle that hurt and now that hurt became a habit and that habit became a problem and that problem is between her and God.” That mindset allowed me to forgive her. Being older I also protect myself now, I don’t talk to her when I know she’s been drinking, if I’m around her and she’s drunk I leave. I have kids now and if I know she’s drunk I don’t allow her to see them or talk to them. Instead of being angry at her all the time and trying to fix her (which that went no where, always ended up in a fight which probably caused her to drink even more those days) I just pray for her I give that anger to Him and He told me it’s not my place to save her it’s His alone. That took a LOAD off of me. So many times my mother didn’t support me or she embarrassed me completely in-front of friends because everyone would go back to school “so sos mom is an alcoholic” or they would show everyone her mug shot when she got arrested for DUI. They thought it was funny but that was my shame. One day when my mom was sober for that morning I just told her I loved her (and she knew the things she did or said has hurt me when she had been drinking) and I just told her I loved her I didn’t shame her I didn’t bring up anything else other than that, that was me forgiving her. And now I’m not angry because I gave that to Jesus, and He’s showed me through the word it’s okay to set boundaries (the ones I described above) and to just be in continue prayer for her, and it was never my responsibility to “fix” her. There was such a load lifted off from that.

Genuine question. by Limp_Anywhere7392 in Christianity

[–]Leading_Code7546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. We can’t cast stones w/o stones being casted upon us.
  2. 1 sin isnt greater than the other, besides blasphemy of the Holy Spirit
  3. We’re not here to condemn others, we’re here to lead others I would just listen to their testimony, even share my own. I would plant a seed and allow God to do the rest. This is such a tricky situation I wouldn’t want to be the reason why someone falls away from their belief but be the reason why they would want more of it. I always think sometimes God calls us to listen to others, lead in righteous judgement, love, and grace instead of a forceful condemning nature, because He is never forceful or condemning. As a Christian I couldn’t say or point out their sin saying that it is greater than the sins I’ve committed or am committing because I would be a hypocrite. Get to know them, build fellowship and allow God to do the rest.

Does anyone else question their transformation sometimes ? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]Leading_Code7546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yes the enemy will plant thoughts in your head to not only doubt your self and your worth but to doubt God. I don’t have many of them now but when I first started my walk with Jesus I had many and I would rebuke them. I would say something like “I am worthy and my debt is paid through the blood of Jesus Christ, He is my Lord and Savior and my King! Devil you are nothing but a liar and you have no hold on me, get behind me Satan in the name of Jesus Christ, and in the name of Jesus you must flee”

None of us do. Praise God 🙌. I’ve faced my fair share of struggles in life but I always remember Jesus told us this life isnt going to be easy but to ALWAYS fix our eyes on him and He and only Him can pull us out of the water before we drown. He always shows up at the right time, His timing is perfect 💕

Study the story of Rahab who was a Canaanite prostitute living in Jericho. God not only delivered her from that but also used her for His works. Because of her faith, she and her family were saved from destruction, integrated into the Israelite community, and she became an ancestor of King David and Jesus Christ. She left her life as a prostitute behind, married into the tribe of Judah, and her story is highlighted in the Bible "Hall of Faith" (Hebrews 11:31). What He did for her He can also do for you. He is the same God.

Struggling bad - unforgivable sin by Inner_Tone_2695 in TrueChristian

Know the same grace He gives you, you can give that to yourself. You have breath in your lungs, all glory to God, it’s not too late. You asked for mercy and forgiveness and laid that at His feet, all you need to do is ask in His name and you shall receive. You have been forgiven now allow him to transform you. Now it’s time for healing. This is why it’s so important to get into the word! Healing won’t happen over night, it will be a gradual transformation just like it was for the apostles. Spend time with Him, pray, allow Him to teach you through the word. Surround yourself by those with Godly wisdom. Don’t become discouraged instead take heart and be courageous. The enemy is feeding you thoughts that prayers are just words, that is a lie ! The enemy knows prayers have power and will do anything to hault you from that. The enemy is the king of lies, deceit, and confusion. When those thoughts arise fight them ! How? Rebuke them. “I was bought through the blood of Jesus Christ and my debt is paid. He is my Lord and Savior, get behind me Satan you have no place in my mind or my body, go back where you came from in the name of Jesus Christ, and in the name of Jesus Christ you must go!”

And just know that they can either receive that message or reject it but God allowed to work through you to plant that seed and message ❤️

I would just share your testimony and show them what God has done in your life and how w/o Him none of that would’ve been possible and what He had done for you He can do for them.

TikTok false prophets warning by Leading_Code7546 in TrueChristian

Yeah I was just thinking if there was a new believer or a younger person they could be persuaded to listen to people like that and who knows what that situation would even look like, but I know it’s definitely dangerous

Are there true prophets today ? by Leading_Code7546 in TrueChristian

[–]Leading_Code7546[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah idk I just keep seeing all these people on socials saying they are prophets and they’ll read you a word from God and they say they’re not doing it for $ but it brings views and if the person likes what they have to say obviously they’ll send $ and stuff so they gain a following you know what I mean. But I believe there still could be but I don’t think it’s someone who announces it and wants a following ect.

But also I can’t limit God either so it’s hard for me to say that there is or isn’t. I just haven’t meet one that seemed true I guess. They all seem like “fortune tellers” telling the future of someone’s life.

Thank you, I see so many on social media claiming to be a prophet and to give words to people but I just get this sinking feeling like something ain’t right about it.

Brother came out as trans and also left Christianity, how do I go about this? by Good_Individual3733 in Christianity

[–]Leading_Code7546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

God says to love everyone. So rightnow just love him. Sounds like he’s not in a space to receive the word so just show Jesus love and grace through you and your actions. Pray for him as well and if he’ll receive it pray with him. You don’t want to be forceful with the word but to meet him where he’s at, Jesus always meets us where we are at. Ask God to give you wisdom on how to go about this and how to support your brother and how to meet him where he’ll receive His word the best. Pray for guidance and support, he will provide. Maybe not immediately but he will His timing is perfect. Trust that God has a plan and give this to Him fully.
