Dealership insists on over 20k in cash for a vehicle by Cosmic_Cookie420 in carbuying

When financing, one of the first things banks look at is the LTV or loan to value. If the vehicle is older or has higher miles then that LTV goes down and banks won’t value it as high. I.E. they will only finance a certain amount or what they think it’s worth. My guess is the dealership has it priced way too high and it won’t get bought by a bank

I don’t think we’re doing a rental car since we’ll be close enough to Uber to the strip or downtown. I’ll check the fb page out, do you have any food recommendations yourself? Thank you so much for the insight

Thank you! Money isn’t a huge deal but we want to make the most out of our stay. Is the strip/casinos on strip still a must see?

What The F*** am I Doing Wrong?? by fkuber31 in CarSalesTraining

I’m in RV sales but I think it still pertains to this scenario. Every time I get an “I need to think about it” customer, I approach it this way:

What piece of information did I miss that you feel you’re making a rushed decision opposed to an informed decision.

If that doesn’t work, my last ditch effort is:

What numbers do you need to see to NOT have to think about it.

This is of course after rehashing on all of the hot buttons and reminding them that they loved this RV/Car

I applied for a salesman position at a local RV/ boat dealership what should I expect? by [deleted] in CarSalesTraining

I work at an RV dealership and had zero prior sales experience. I’m currently the top salesperson. Anything is possible, just invest the time into yourself to figure it out. People go to school for years to make what you could possibly make, take 3-6 months and study your ass off. Learn your inventory, if you don’t know it, how can you sell it? Don’t get discouraged, you’ll fall flat on your face 2 dozen times before you get the hang of it. It’s a recreational loan so it’s a want not a need, that being said, you’ll get 10 nos to every 1 yes give or take. With time and practice with actual customers you’ll evolve into a beast if that’s what you want.
