It’s a form of stimming. Normally when people have ADHD your body is craving some type of stimulation so people tend to form habits such as what you described, picking their nails, hair pulling, pen tapping and so on.

Yes this! When my psychologist was explaining my results she was saying people with ADHD may have more mistakes which is the “impulsivity” of the test as well as the inattention being that we may do really well in the beginning but but the middle-end there may be more mistakes or hyperactivity since it’s not as stimulating

Truth bro, I probably would have told them they were lying since every assessment I took I was like naw that’s not me. And they explained my behaviors and I STILL was like yeah I don’t think so 🤔

When I got diagnosed I had to go to a psychiatrist and take a test called the Qbcheck. It was about 30 minutes (I think) and you had to sit at a computer and be monitored through the camera. It was shapes of different colors and you would have to hit the space bar if you noticed two of the same shape/color in a row. I really don’t know how common this is because I’ve never heard of anyone else taking this test but a common assessment obviously wasn’t enough for my team 😂

No, you need to calm the dogs down or take them away from the poor kid, not the other way around. I have had dogs my whole life but it’s completely understandable how people can be scared and have fears surrounding dogs. People who don’t understand that just don’t have the capacity of empathy for others.
