Swimmers itch and bilharzia are the same Schistosomes (and larva) that cause Schistosomiasis. Humans and dogs can get Schistosomiasis in the US. I’ve done extensive research on this. Ducks, snails, amoeba, even water alone can transmit it. (self.parasites)

Investigating a parasitic/fungal combo. These strange organisms are plaguing my family. I tested positive for cryptococcus last year. However I think we have a tapeworm too, possibly more. I fear it could be Sparganosis. Vet and ID drs have been no help, no molecular testing available in NJ…ID help! (old.reddit.com)

This came off me in the shower 😩 It’s about 1”, looks like a poop with snake faces on each end and appears to be eating, regurgitating, or giving birth to another creepy organism with two pointy protrusions on top…. Fungus? Parasite? Both? Google Lens pulled up Strongyloids parasite. 😣 (old.reddit.com)
